My goals were to fix mild asymmetry and hooding of my eyes while maintaining a subtle, natural look. I am absolutely thrilled and so glad I did it. I am a "nature girl" on a budget, so I am selective about what I choose to do to myself, relying mostly on a healthy lifestyle and good genes to look youthful and natural, but the results of this surgery are beautiful---very natural, subtle, pretty, and faithful to my original facial structure. I think Dr. Kapadia is an artistic genius. In addition to the results of the surgery, both Dr. Kapadia and his assistant, Donna, were kind, calm, warm, and professional, making this a pleasant experience.
One final note: I followed instructions carefully, both before and after the procedure regarding icing, elevation, etc. This is important. I also watched an online video of someone else's progression through the eyelid surgery experience, which helped me have realistic expectations about the length of time it would take for lumpy scarring to begin to fade, etc. That is also important. I was also clear on my psychological motivations and expectations, which is a must.
In short, I am totally thrilled, and that is coming from a bit of a perfectionist.
