I live on Cape Cod and had travelled to Boston for consults with several "top rated" plastic surgeons. I didn't feel 100% confident with any of them, as eyelid surgery was just one of the many surgeries that they performed. I wanted to find a doctor who specialized in eyelid surgery, one who would take special care to protect my vision as well as give me younger looking eyes. Dr. Kapadia is an Opthalmologist/Ocuplast, and after my initial consult with him I knew that I was in very competent, experienced hands. The painless procedure was done in his immaculate office in took about an hour and a half. I had restylane injections under my eyes to fill in the hollows that made me look tired (a different plastic surgeon had told me I needed lower blepharoplasty). For the first two days after the surgery I thought, OMG what have I done. My total eye area was swollen, tender and bruised, but after just four days, I was out and about (wearing sunglasses and camouflage makeup) and could tell that my eyes were going to look great. When I went for my two week checkup, all bruises had faded, my eyelids were healed, and the stitches had dissolved. I asked Dr. Kapadia if he could do anything to improve the vertical lines above my lip. He didn't make any promises, but he injected a little filler into the deepest lines and added a little filler to my upper lip, which made for a great improvement. I am so pleased with my new look- not fake or dramatically different- just refreshed and more youthful. It's amazing how relatively minor surgery can change your entire appearance, when it's done by expert hands. There are a lot of plastic surgeons out there, but for rejuvenation of the eyes and facial fillers, Dr. Kapadia is among the very best.
