“So Far So Good - Wausau, WI”
Spent: $1,000 in Wausau, WI
Well I went in Wed am for breast reduction and lift, as I had been experiencing extreme shoulder, neck pan and headaches.
Pro's well I can finally see my feet w/o moving the boobs out of the way. Has helped my shoulder pain already.
Con's that i need to have the drains in for a week.
Updated on 15 Apr 2011:
I went in to the Dr's office and his nurse said "well I bet the last 2 weeks have been long for you?" I then reminded her that I hod only had my surgery a week before. She was amazed at how well I looked for only 1 week post op. Dr Butler took out my tubes and half the staples came out Wed April 13.
Updated on 10 May 2011:
April 20 most of the rest of the staples came out. Things look very nice! Cleaning as directed. I was supposed to go back to work the next week but they are moving my department and we are required to help so because I am not allowed to lift heavy things I get my leave extended.
Went back May 3 to have the final few staples removed in the rt side. Unfortunately now I have a very bad infection in my rt breast it is pushing out and making my incision line wider. They did a culture and are having me wet pack the incision on that side 2x a day with Di-Dak-Sol. Cultures came back I was put on a very, very strong antibiotic. Was supposed to return to work the following day but now has been extended till May 16. Not taking pictures because it is too gross for me to handle.
Returned for recheck May 9 infection is going away! However I am not healing as fast because I have a low white blood count so we are aiming to go back to work after another recheck at the end of next week. So we will cross our fingers and see how things look then.

Dr Butler and his staff at the surgery center were very easy to work with, very friendly and knowledgeable answered any questions I had. His office staff has been so good working with me on any questions I have had and been very accommodating with scheduling appointments.

Yours look a lot like mine did. I bet you are feeling really good now! I noticed a change the first time I sat up in the recovery room.
They will drop and take shape over the next several months. Congratulations you look great!
Oh they will take shape before you know it. You look amazing and will have so much fun buying new tops an bras.
The surgery just takes that old maid feeling away...LOL
Mine were boxy looking for about 4-5 months and then started to take on a really nice and natural shape. Gravity will set it :)
What a difference! Thanks so much for posting your story and photos here on RealSelf. It's so very helpful for others going through the same thing. You look great. Please keep us posted on how you're healing.
