Swollen!
Ugh! So I'm more swollen today than the day I had surgery! I'm so frustrated. I went to my 4 week post-op appointment today and the PS said it might be fluid so she checked... OUCH! No fluid but the process of her checking involved a big needle in the middle of my abdomen,sure she numb it first but when she went all the way in I felt it and I screamed so loud I'm sure people in the building next door heard me. I was literally in tears and it took me a minute to get myself together. On the bright side I don't have any fluid so she said keep wearing my garment,which I really haven't been doing. The PS explained the garment will help with the swelling. As I sit down to write this I have a little pouch that was not there a few days before :( I bought a new garment today which I plan to wear consistently and hopefully that will help. Anyways.. So I went to a restaurant by myself and had 2 glasses of wine. I haven't had any wine since February so I was excited to finally have a drink especially after my ordeal at the PS office.
Driving today!
Called my PS nurse and she said I'm ok to drive. I'm no longer taking any pain meds. Drove the kids to school this morning. It was a bumpy ride, I literally felt every single bump on the road but I survived.
My incision is perfect!
