“VERY PLEASED!!!”

I am 47 years old, have had four kids and a am health nut. I work out regularly and eat extremely clean and healthy, weigh about 115#. Up until about 5 years ago, my abs were a source of pride...I could have been in any exercise or ab gadget commercial, they were defined and flat. I never believed in the "middle-age spread", thinking people just start eating more or slowing down their workouts. Well I got the "middle age spread" even though I upped my workouts and ate better.

I had smartlipo on my abs and flanks about 7 weeks ago and I am SO PLEASED! If I can expect even more improvement as they say, final results 3-6 months I AM ECSTATIC!! Now when I do planks in my workouts, I don't have a "pouch" of hanging fat and skin! The bikini is coming out this summer!

Just a few health-nut tips on healing:

Eat healthy! Lots of fruits & vegetables and clean proteins. I was completely bruise-free in one week. My secret was carrot-parsley juice. Parsley was used long ago as a poultice for bruises, but it is such a super food, it works wonders when eaten. If you have a juicer, for the first week after your procedure, juice up carrots, etc and blend your fresh juice with 1/2 bunch parsley in the blender. For those without a juicer, try 1 cup orange juice, 1/2 bunch parsley and 1/2 cup frozen berries. I'm not saying this tastes delicious, it's actually gross, but your bruises will disappear like magic!

Back to smart lipo: For me it was painful, I still have some tenderness, and I still wear a compression garment when working out. But, I am so happy I did it and wish I'd done it sooner. Please find a board-certified plastic surgeon and ask to see his before and after photos. Before my procedure, I told my doctor's assistant I was nervous due to unhappy results I've read about online. She said, "we only have happy results here". She was right, I can't be happier!!! I did not take before pics at home, but hope when I go for followup and get my "after" pics, I can get the before & afters to post online.
