“Can't Wait to Feel Like Me Again! - Vancouver, WA”
Spent: $10,925 in Vancouver, Wa
Hi all!! I have been reading all your beautiful stories for the past week (so thankful I found this website!) & I figured I might as well share my journey...
A little about me (short version)... I am a 5'8, 170lb wife of 11 years + a mother to a 4 yr old boy (who weighed in @ 8.11lbs), a soon to be 3 yr old boy(who weighed in @ 9.8lbs) & a soon to be 2 yr old girl (weighed in @ 7.11). I love our babies more than anything but it seems I don't have the time (nor the energy) to take care of me the way I would like. So... I have finally decided to treat myself to a mommy makeover.
I have had two consults with a well known Dr. in our area & we are scheduled for surgery on September 6th (the day after my 29th birthday (figured I'd give myself a year to get in thee best shape for my 30th)). After much consideration, we chose to do a full tummy tuck, a lollipop lift + saline implants. I am so excited for the outcome but I'm feeling pretty anxious about the recovery & the scars.
I will work on posting pictures tomorrow...

Well girls, 2 weeks from today I start the journey of a new & improved me! I'm so excited to start the last yr of my 20's dedicated to feeling better about the way I look!! YAY ME!!

So this waiting... reminds me of the last few weeks of pregnancy!! Like you just can't wait to meet your brand new baby... well I just cant wait to met my brand new belly!!! (boobies too)
I'm leaning more towards 450 to 474ccs... have my pre op on Tuesday... hoping my Dr agrees with me!!!
You ladies are all adorable!!!

Yay!! Had my final pre op today... I'm so excited to get this show on the rd!!
Got all my PX filled, picked some some Arnica + Bromelain from my Naturopathic Dr. & plan to run into VS to get a couple short silky robes (with pockets).
I talked to my Dr about going just a tad bigger so we are doing a 420 HP bag w/ either 475 of 500ccs. Thankfully I completely trust that when he lifts me up (on the table) while I'm "under", he will determine what will look best.
I'm so excited!! (have I mentioned that yet?! :)

Yay! Tomorrow is my birthday + Tuesday is my surgery!! I'm feeling so excited! I picked up a great front zip sports bra from Nordstrom, a black satin robe from VS (Im determined to still feel somewhat good about myself as I lie around & do nothing) & I'm about to go fill my prescriptions. I've been taking my Bromelain & Arnica for a few days now & my naturopathic swears it'll help so much. Not looking forward to drinking the magnesium drink (to get "things" moving) tomorrow afternoon...

So I'm 3 days post op... Head to my PS in a couple hrs to have my cathator removed (still haven't gone poopy yet, so hoping that will help). Last night was rough, just couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep but this morning I'm moving around better than yesterday. I am so looking forward to meeting my new girls this am (& getting this horrible sticky tape cut off)!! + I'm looking forward to seeing my stomach again. My drains don't really bother me much & I will find out today if I get them removed on Tuesday. Man alive, I can't wait to shave my legs!!
Updated on 9 Sep 2011:
Yay!! Just got back from my PS, I'm so beyond happy with my results!! I feel so incredibly blessed!!!! I won't be getting my drains out til next Friday, but I'm okay with that!!!

I'm 4 days post op... haven't pooped yet!! I'm even putting Miralax in my coffee... hopefully today will be the day.
I gotta admit, this recovery isn't as bad as I thought it would be!! I have like NO bruising, hardly any swelling & the pain isn't unbearable. I feel so blessed!!!
I will take some pictures this afternoon after my hubs gives me a sponge bath! I cannot wait to shave my legs!!!

UPDATE! After mixing Miralax in my coffee this am + drinking a dose of MOM this afternoon, I finally had some relief in the bathroom. Feeling much better about that!!!
Also, I have found that sleeping/sitting with a Boppy (along with a pile of pillows) around my lower back makes me feel so much more supported & takes a lot of pressure off of my lower back.
Updated on 11 Sep 2011:
I think my butt is getting flat from all this sitting. That's it, they'd my update for the day.

DAY 6 POST OP ~ I just put a phone call into my PS... I've noticed that my pelvic area, just below my drains, is incredibly swollen... so we'll see what he says...

ONE WEEK POST OP ~
Hi chicks!! I'm feeling pretty darn good today, after taking my first real shower! I have a tip for you girls... while showering, I tied a workout band around my waist & pinned my drains to it. Aww, I feel so fresh & so clean!!
I'm still pretty hunched over, but its getting better everyday. Although I'm swollen (especially below my drains), I am so impressed with my results thus far! & I'm thrilled that I still have not one bruise!! I'm looking forward to getting my drains out on Friday, but to be honest, they haven't really bothered me too much. I feel so blessed that this recovery has been pretty smooth!!
Updated on 17 Sep 2011:
Hi girls!!! So yesterday was 10 days post op, which for me, meant NO MORE DRAINS!! Yay!! I was so nervous to get them out, but it was a breeze!! Now, I'm starting to itch like crazy but I'm thankful that means I'm healing :)
I'm so loving my results!!! This has been so much easier than I expected!!!

Dr. Workman made my husband & I feel comfortable from the second we shook hands. He answered all of our questions with honest answers. I knew within our first meeting that he was going to be my PS. I'm so looking forward to my final results... UPDATE: Dr Workman far exceeded my expectations. His eye for detail is something I'm so grateful for. I had a full tummy tuck w/ muscle repair & I cannot express how excited I was to see my incision for the first time. I was overjoyed @ how low, thin & even it was. I was also equally impressed with my belly button & how well centered it is. My boobs are beautiful, I couldn't be happier. The recovery nurses + my post op nurse have all been wonderful, so friendly & beyond helpful. His staff gals (front desk & patient coordinator) can be a little "cold", but what they lack, everyone makes up for. All & all his work is amazing & he is someone I'd recommend over & over.

Welcome to RealSelf. How exciting you are only about three weeks away. I would say that is a pretty awesome birthday present:)
You will love having the new body girlie. Please make sure you have plenty of help for the babies. You will not want to be doing any lifting for a while. Three babies ages 4 and under...Yikes you are one busy lady. Your poor tummy...LOL
Keep us all up to date on how you are doing and keep posting:)
My tummy isn't that bad from having 3 in 3 yrs, but shortly before I became preggo with our first, I was involved in a rollover car accident & the seat belt that saved my life also ruined my then perfectly belly.
Here is a link to some information on the Lollipop Lift.
