Update- almost 7 months since implant exchange
I am very happy with the results of my reconstruction. My new breasts look really natural. All my blouses that I wore prior to my reconstruction all fit and I look the same as I did before breast cancer in them. Dr. Gabriel really knows his stuff and is an awesome doctor. I am so glad I was referred to him!!!
I had bilateral nipple and skin-sparing mastectomy...
I had bilateral nipple and skin-sparing mastectomy (IDC of
right breast and prophylactic mastectomy of left breast; strong family
history, multiple biopsies and age at diagnosis- 40) in October 2013
with immediate placement of expanders. Right nipple did not completely
make it. I am scheduled to have implants placed in February 2014. I
can't wait because the expanders are not comfortable at all.
