Procedure

The evening before the surgery, I got a phone call from false creek medical. They told me not to have anything to eat or drink at least 6 hours before surgery. They informed me on the time I had to be there for, which was 6am. The day of surgery I wore my pjs because it's important to feel as comfortable as you can. When I got to the false creek medical centre, I checked in first. The front desk receptionist gave me some papers to read and sign and she took me to a private room where there was a gown for me to change into. The Receptionist told me there would be two nurses coming in shortly after. They just did some common testing to make sure I was healthy, everything was good. The nurses were also in the surgical room with me the whole time. After they were done, Dr.Macadam came in and she drew where she would be putting the incisions. They were slightly below the breasts, the doctor told me that the implants will start up really high and slowly over time they will drop and the incisions marks would be the crease. The doctor told me what would be happening during and after surgery and what to look for in case of infection. They waited for me to go to the washroom first before starting, then took me to the surgical room. They made sure I was warm before putting me asleep and she told to think about a place I've always wanted to go see, few seconds after that I was asleep. The surgery took almost 2 hours. When I woke up I was in the recovery room and both nurses and doctor were there. The doctor gave me her phone number and email in case I had any concerns or questions. She gave me the prescriptions list. It was 8am and I had another nurse that took care of me for 2 hours after that. She called my parents and they arrived around 10am. My parents were in false creeks underground parking and nurse took me down to the parking lot and helped me get into the car.

Treatment

Based off of my experience the first 4 hours are the most painful because you've just woken up and it takes while for the painkillers to kick in. It's a lot to embrace when waking up and very hard to move around. The doctor told me not to lifting or working out until she said it was okay too. For the first 2 days I took painkillers four times a day to help with the pain along with antibiotics to keep away infection. I was in bed the most part, I had to get someone to help me if I wanted to sit-up or get up. I had lots of pillows keeping my back up and I would try to sleep like that as well. It's really hard to get up if your back is completely flat on the bed, especially if you got under the muscle like I did! Both the doctor's office and false creek medical called my house to make sure that I was okay. The third day I was allowed to shower. The doctor had a bandage warp around me, which I wore for about a week (If I remember right). When first taking off the bandage, it's a lot of pressure being exposed. I was able to see the incision site for the first time and the stitches that the doctor used would dissolved eventually. The doctor used skin glue as well, so nothing would open up and the glue will fall off on its own. Overall the whole area was neat and clean. The forth and fifth day I was only taking painkillers twice a day and still taking the antibiotic four times a day until finished. Of course each day the swelling would go down and pain would be less. In general it's more pressure then pain because your chest is trying to accept the implant. After one whole week I went to see Dr.Macadam at her office. I told her I was worried about the right side, it had bled a little bit and I wanted to make sure the area was okay. Doctor told me it was quite common and nothing to worry about. The doctor gave me band that I wore just above my chest for 24 hours a day unless taking a shower. The band would help push the implants down because the goal was to make the incision the new crease for my breasts. The second week breezed by, I was no longer taking painkillers and I was walking around more. Every time would take a shower I could see the the progress of the implants dropping which made me so excited. I went to see the doctor again at her office and she told me I could take the band off but I wasn't allowed to wear bra yet. She told me to hold on to the band just in case if the implants wouldn't drop on their own. The third week my chest was exposed, the first and the second day you feel a lot of pressure going down. The third week I had to go back to work, so of course I wore baggy tops and thick sweaters. The third and the forth week I was seeing a lot progress and dropping happening and at work on my breaks I would go to the washroom to check my chest out. I could see the progress there too, I was extremely happy about it. The fourth week I saw the doctor she could see the progress too and she said everything was looking good. I told her every now and then I would get a burning feeling on my right breast. She told me to rub the area and the felling eventually about go away and I did just that. She told me no bra yet and the next time I would see her was in 2 weeks. At that point in time I was itching to wear a bra, but I followed everything she told me to do. So at work I kept wearing baggy blouses and sweaters to hide my breasts because the nipples stayed very pointy for while. The fifth week the swelling looked pretty much looked gone and I was happy with the way my breasts we're looking. The sixth week my breast were pretty much in the crease and I was the doctor mid next week and she said everything looks really well. The doctor told me I could wear a lined bra which made me soo happy. The doctor also told me to massage my breasts twice a day for 2 mins each side, to help keep them soft. The doctor took a picture of my chest, she also has the before picture too. Now I'm pretty much up to date. The next time I see the doctor is in three months. On that note I went to both victoria secret and la vie rose. Vs measured me at 32D and la via rose measured me at 34D, which I'm not complaining I'm happy with both. I love my breast and so far I think they look really great. Unfortunately I don't have any before pictures but I can show you what they look like present day.

I've always wanted bigger breasts. I barely had...

I've always wanted bigger breasts. I barely had any breast tissue to start with, my size then was 34A cup. I've felt like I was flat and clothes would never fit the way I wanted them too. In general I never felt confident or sexy. I've always considered getting implants for the longest time. In the summer I decided I would look more into getting them done. My mom suggested I contact False Creek Medical Centre. So I emailed False Creek Medical Centre, where set they me up with appointment to met with one of their doctors. The doctor that they set me up with was Dr.Macadam. Before meeting the doctor I looked up information about her and she had very good reviews. Which also lead me to her website, the site is well made and lots of information provided. When I met with Dr.Macadam the first time, she answered all my questions and she was very honest. The doctor told me all the risk and the things to consider when getting breast implants. She told me it has to be something you think about a lot, meaning day and night. I respected everything she had to say, which made my decision very clear that I wanted them. I couldn't decide if I should get silicone or saline implants and how big to go. I tried on a lot of sizers to see what looks good. The doctor gave me the pros and cons for both implants. We agreed upon having the implants be place under the muscle for the best result. With that being said I went with silicone because I wanted them to feel and to look natural. The second time I went to see Dr.Macadam, we discussed size and I got to try out vectra scan to get an idea of what they could potentially look like. I went with silicone high profile 335g breast implants. As of current day I am about 2months in. I measure to be 34C/D cup and I am extremely happy. Dr.Macadam did a amazing job!!!

Dr.Macadam is such a talented caring doctor, she made me feel like I was in good hands. The day of surgery I wasn't nervous at all. The doctor talked me through on what she'll be doing, what to expect when I awake up and what to look for in case of infection. The doctor also gave me her phone number and email just case if I had any question and concerns. I emailed her with few of my concerns and she would always reply back shortly after. Few days after surgery when I was allow to shower, I could finally see the incisions and stitches. I was amazed how clean and small the incisions where. For the first month and a half I would see the doctor every week to 2 weeks and she would check to make sure the that my breasts were healing good. The next time I see her is in 3 months now. Again she answered any questions I had and infrom me what my chest was doing. After every visit we'd always have the next appointment booked. The doctor really cares about her patients and her office staff follow through. The doctor's staff at her office are really nice and they make you feel welcomed. I followed everything Dr.Macadam told me to do each visit and in result my breasts look great. I am very satisfied with my results and I would recommend her to anyone of my friends and family.
