2 Week Post Op Progression

290 gram Inspira High Profile Under the Muscle
I am so happy with by new breasts. I love the size as they are now so I am hoping I won't too much volume as swelling decreases. Posting photos in hopes that this will help others who also agonized about sizing and about changes in size/shape during the healing period. Dr. Lennox is amazing! Saw him yesterday for 2 week post op visit and he gave me some breast massage to do. They feel softer and more like me already.

2 weeks post op - love them!

I absolutely love them. They are perfectly symmetric and the right size for me. I have been amazed at how good they looked from the beginning. I experienced very little swelling and my recovery has been simple. I think this has to do with the techniques that Dr. Lennox uses for creating the pocket and inserting the implant - nothing was rough, forced or rushed and this made a huge difference for me.

I continue to have excellent post op care. I saw Dr. Lennox today and as usual he was so nice and professional. He gave me the go ahead to get back to exercise but asked me to take it easy if anything hurts.

I am taking photos of my progression to see how my breasts change over time and will post them soon.

1 Day Post Op

I'm hoping to post photos of my progression. I agonized over sizing and I'm sure I am not alone. Maybe these photos will help others who are in the process of trying to choose.

My Pre Surgery Stats
age 38
126 pounds
5 foot 5
athletic build
12 cm breast base on both sides
implant used: Inspira SRF Responsive Gel - 290 Gram High Profile, width 11.5/projection 4.7

At my first consultation with Dr. Lennox, I explained that I was hoping to fill out my breasts which had become empty and shapeless following breast feeding. At that time he recommended an implant size in the range of 200 - 230. He then asked me to finish breast feeding and then wait at least 3 months before I came back for sizing.

This gave me some time to really think about my objectives, and when I was honest with myself, I wasn't just looking to fill out my breasts, I wanted to go a little bigger than before. I wanted to have full but smallish breasts that would not look large on me, would not make me look too wide on top, and would not get in the way of my sports and fitness activities.

At my sizing visit I re-communicated my goals with Dr. Lennox and he suggested Inspira High Profile 290 or 335. He recommended high profile because they are less wide than the moderate profile and would give me less side boob (I wanted full but not on the sides).

I was a little nervous about the 290 and 335 sizes suggested because they sounded so much bigger than the 200 range that I had been previously considering. I was kind of hoping to get away with having this surgery without friends noticing - probably not realistic but that was my plan anyways.

I was really torn about which size to go with and I wore the 335s sizers around quite a bit in the weeks before my procedure. I am really glad I did this because I was able to get some feedback from friends and family. My husband thought they looked great on me and not too large. One of my best friends told me they looked too big and made me look wide on top. In the end I decided that even though I know most people wish they had gone bigger, I would be more comfortable with a smaller result than a larger result. I think it is easier to tone up smaller breasts when desired with bras etc, then tone down larger breasts. I really hope I made the right decision going with the smaller 290 size!

1 day post Op my breasts look high, large and far apart. The pain is totally manageable. I have been taking the meds on schedule and feel fine. Not having any reaction to the meds in the way of nausea. I started taking stool softeneres a coupe of days before surgery on the advice of friends who experienced constipation as a result of the pain medication. All in all I feel pretty good.

Now I am playing the waiting game, watching to see the changes in by breasts from day to day. I hope I will be happy that I selected the 290s. Right now they look too large to me but my guess is that once the swelling goes away, they will be perfect.

My husband is a surgeon and when I asked for a recommendation for my breast surgery, he suggested Dr. Lennox based on his professional experience with him. I also have 2 friends who have had the same procedure with him and are very happy. I liked that Dr. Lennox specializes in the breast, and is renowned for both his reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. Credentials aside, he is a nice man and I believe he truly cares about me as person. I got along well with him. He was patient, sensitive and helped me make good decisions about implant size and placement. I would recommend Dr. Lennox without hesitation to my friends and family or anyone else considering breast augmentation surgery.
