I love reading all the stories !! my surgery is nov 8. Wondering what made you all decide the sleeve over the lapband or the bypass ?

Because I do not have diabetes, the doc recommended the sleeve over the bypass which I thought the sleeve would be best for me from the start as it has less complications throughout the duration than the bypass as far as gallstones, dumping syndrome, malabsorption and a few other possible issues in my opinion! :-)

Oh My only had the operation 3 days ago and your up and about!!! this is the bestest news. I'm so relieved. I don't like taking days off work so i'm worried about taking time off. I have plenty of leave up my sleeve (pardon the punt) its just i hate to use it. You have made me feel so much more better after reading you are up and about. So how bad was the pain immediately after the procedure? How long did you have to take pain relieve (tablets) for? I am a real sooky la la and hate the thought of pain. Only a few small incisions!!! this is fantastic - i scar terrible and that has made me feel better miles better hearing this news. I've started the liquid diet today as i'm going in for my operation in 13 sleeps and i have not being informed to diet prior but everyone else on this review site all say to do it so i'm doing it all right - i want nothing to go wrong. so how long after your operation did you or where you allowed to have a drink? where you ok with sipping and have you continued to remember to sip!! I'm trying to train myself now to sip and i fail. but i will master this sipping of my drinks by the day i get in. I just have to i don't want any issues. I so want this to be sucessful. thank you so much for sharing

Welcome and thanks so much for sharing your journey with us!

I'm glad you're up and about and feeling well! If you don't mind sharing, how much did you weigh prior to surgery?

My surgery is scheduled for September 25th and I've just started the liquid diet, yesterday!
