Finally Getting a Nose Job!

I have decided to go with dr Gonchior from mya for open rhino on 14th April. Starting to get very nervous as only 2 weeks away. I haven't told anyone yet only planning on telling my mum so my main concern is that it's not too unnatural looking. I have quite a prominent nose with a droopy tip. I want to achieve a better profile.

Today's the day!

I'm all checked in at the hopsital waiting to be seen by the surgeon. Starting to get nervous now.

wanted to reduce the height of my nose and my tip is still very big. I suppose it's still a bit swollen but I am disappointed with the result :(

Sorry for the late reply. My profile is definetly straighter but my main concerns about the height of my nose and my bulbous tip are still the same. I suppose the tip still a bit swollen but I was hoping for a better result :(

Bless you Hun. This man is a terrible surgeon x

What did he say at your post op? Let me guess, was it something along the lines of 'it's a good result. You still have swelling'?

That's pretty much exactly what he said. Apparently because of the natural shape of my nose I was always going to end up with somewhat of a big tip. Funny how that was never mentioned at any of the consultations.

Yes , he says that to all of his victims. You are not alone. Write a review on here and seek some legal advice. And do your research for a good revisionist. X

Sabrinose, how are you doing?

I am still happy with my nose. I am going to be honest, I never expected miraculous results and a perfect celebrity nose because a surgeon can only work with what he has got! Dr. Gonschior definitely warned me of this on several occasions and I had realistic expectations. I think what some people don't realise is that you're never going to have a 'perfect nose'. I think it is out of order to advise someone to get a revision 4 months post op. My nose did get better with the passing of the months and even still I can feel a bit of swelling. Just wait it out for at least a year.

I didn't tell anyone to get a revision Hun. I'm in contact with this person personally so you can't comment I'm afraid. I merely suggested research is essential when considering a revision. I'm glad you are 'happy' Hun x

I never wanted a miracle either. But I would've settled for at least normal and not disfigured. Any photos of your new nose would be fab, thanks in advance x

Hope everything went well today and you are recovering well xxx

Do not be nervous it will all be over before you know it and the recovery will be a lot less painful than you imagine. Good luck! X

Thank you. I've just been told I might be waiting a while to be seen. Just want to get it over and done with. Have you had your cast off yet?

No, dr Gonschior is keen on keeping the splint on for 2 weeks rather than the normal 1 week period. I am getting my stitches out tomorrow. I can say recovery has been relatively painless except for the nuisance of not being able to breathe properly. I will send you a PM and we can keep in touch privately x it will all be fine!

Thank you for starting your story on RealSelf! I'll be following it with interest. Here's a list of recovery supplies you might need. Will you be posting photos so we can see your transformation?
