Has anyone ever tried to get their deposit back? And did it work, what steps did you have to take?

So I guess no sugery for me. After 2 years, of planning, and saving. I would like to thank Vivian from dr. Ortega office, for not responding to my emails, for not calling me at the number provided, after so many times of telling you to call me at work. I even sent in my work schedule to her so she knows my hours.I had to change the surgery I planned to get, from a bbl to a tt, asked for a quote, and asked for a quote, still no quote. I also told her everything had to be done at the end of this month, for I am going out of the country for a month, still nothing. I even suggested to her to give me to someone, if she was too busy. Still nothing. But they will be out nothing, because stupid me sent in a 500$ deposit. I have tried other doctors, but at this late of notice, everyone is booked up.To all you ladies who had better luck than me, good luck on your journey.
Deposit
I paid my deposit, official date for surgery August 6 2014. Anyone going to Miami that week? A lot of mixed emotions. Just hoping I am doing the right thing. I guess when you have kids, you are always thinking the money could be spent else where, especially if your a single parent.
