Septoplasty Ruined my Breathing - United Kingdom

Had a septoplasty last Nov on the UK NHS and ever since my breathing has been worse. My nose feels constantly blocked and if I do any exercise my nose continually runs, which makes it harder to breathe.

When you look up my nose I can see a 'lump' which I saw after surgery and hoped it was swelling. It hasn't gone away and you can see how narrow my passage is. My surgeon says there's nothing he can do, just take a steroid spray.

Great review?

Gave too much pain medication, nurse had to correct him. Didn't tell me how much time I needed off work until half an hour before my surgery. My boss was fuming! Follow up - shone a torch up my nose and said there was nothing he could do. Suggested a steroid spray to try and said he didn't want to see me again.

I'm so sorry to hear :( I hope your doing better. I had septoplasty and im completely stuffy and when I can breathe its extremely dry and feels really strange. And airway feel tight. Im 2 and 1/2 months post and dont know if this is normal or not. How is your breatheing right now ??

Hi , just wondering did you manage to sort out the breathing problem as I seem to have the same problem as you .

Didn't want to see you again? That's no good.

I'm so sorry you're not happy with your septoplasty! Especially after the expense and time off from work. Not to mention being operated on. I hope things have improved for you by now.
