I had my inner thighs and chin done almost 8 weeks ago. I never had nice legs even when I weighed 40 lbs less. Since adulthood, I have always had a large birthmark (covers my entire right calf), mucho cellulite, scars, bruises, sagging skin, etc. This is how my legs look, WITHOUT any procedures. I didn't go into the procedure thinking I would have any less of this. I just assumed my thighs would be smaller; they were. I look better in pants than I did before and that was my goal. My thighs no longer rub together (a miracle...didn't even expect that). I love my chin results; that was a breeze. I was kind of terrified that something would go wrong with that and I wouldn't be able to hide it like I could the thighs. The doctor even made a comment during the preop appt that I looked like I wanted to jump out of my skin.
As far as the pain after my procedure, it was intense. "Lunchtime procedure" was a total fabrication. Of course everyone is different. I am still having a little pain, but everyday is better. I was very worried about 3-4 weeks after the procedure due to hard, painful areas on the inner thighs. I wasn't given much post op info, but I do work in a hospital and I just harassed the docs I work with if certain things were normal (i.e., occassional sharp shooting pain in inner thigh area, swelling after sitting a few hours, stiffness, etc).
I will say, I wasn't exactly fit when I had the procedure. I do not eat right and am a little overweight. I knew my journey would be longer for recovery. I've had traditional lipo on my upper/lower abs, flanks, and inner knees (at different times in my life).
I can honestly say this has been the longest recovery for me. BUT, surprise, surprise, I do feel more confident with smaller thighs and am overall pleased with the results. As you can see, I have body issues and don't pretend that I do everything I need to do to have a nice, healthy body. Just like avertised, this procedure will net better results for the people who eat healthy and exercise and have a small amount of fat to remove. Just be realistic with what you want to accomplish.
