Day 8!!!
So today is day 8 post op. I'm feeling ok. A little tired. The sides are tender and swollen. Is that normal for day 8? What can I do to help with that? I only have 5 more days before I go back to work. Hopefully I'll be ready.
Here they are!!!
Post op day 3. I'm feeling a little bit better today. It's just I'm still swollen and very bloated in my belly area. I do get sharp pains every now and again. Anybody know about getting rid the bloating? I'm taking stool softeners. My post op appointment went good yesterday. He said everything is healing perfectly. He ended up taking out 453 out of my right and over 800 out of the left. I'm pretty bruised underneath. But over all I'm doing pretty good. Just trying to relax and rest.
Day of surgery.
My surgery day started 4:00am. I had to be at the hospital at 5:30am to register and get prepped. Got me back to my room. Changed into my gown socks and hair net. The nurse put my IV in. The nurses were great. I had my mom and boyfriend there with me. Dr. MeGee came in drew on me. The surgery was scheduled for 7:30. Then they put some feel good medicine in my IV. I vaguely remember rolling into the OR. They put the mask on me and in about 2 breaths I was out. I woke up the recovery area. I stayed there until was stable. The surgery took 3 hours. Then I went back to my room. I was there about an hour. I could only keep water down. I threw up 2 times before I left. Finally I was able to leave. Stopped and got prescription. Came home and laid on the couch. Couldn't really eat anything. Just slept. Was drizzy and nauseous alot. I've just been relaxing and not over doing it. I have my post op appointment today. Hopefully things are looking good under there. I'll post more pictures later.
