I had tummy tuck, breast aug, thigh lift and lipo 3 weeks ago following significant weight loss.

At the moment I have alot of swelling so cannot say im completely happy with the results as yet. So far so good though. Lipo was so painful something I was not prepared for, would never have it again and wouldnt recommend it to anyone, especially as my legs look bigger post op.....deep down I know its swellin though.

Only worry I have is the dents above my belly button, that is why I have joined the forum to try and get some answers.

Following my TT 3 weeks ago i have to small indentations above my belly button. After the op there were stiches there and I was told that it was keeping my muscle to my stomach wall and the dents would go.......stitches are no out but dents are still there. Has anyone else experienced this??

You may see thse dents from sutures on the undersurface of the skin to the muscles. It is called PROGRESSIVE TENSION ABDOMINOPLASTY. if that is the case and the sutures are disolvable the dents may improve with time.if the undersurface adherance is to the lower layers of the skin (DERMIS) they will not go. Give it time nothing to do now

Thankyou for your response, but it has worried me. The sutures were on the outside so that must mean that the dents will never go. I am so concerned about this as I now look deformed and wondering if the TT was worth it as this part of my abdomen was fine pre op and now its disfigured. Do you know if there is anyway the dents can be 'released' at all? I am so unhappy about the appearance of them it looks as though I have 3 belly buttons. Thankyou again for your corrospondance. Emma.

Hi Jennifer.......the dents have completely disapeared now....woo hoo, was so happy when I saw that they had gone. Now they have gone im completely happy with my plastic surgery as well as that alot of the swelling has gone now and I can see more of what the end result will look like. I am from the uk and had my surgery in Tunisa by a Tunisian surgeon who was trained and works in Paris. The experience was surreal as the nursing staff had limited English but overall it was a positive experiance. I went to Tunisia as it was so much cheaper than having the surgery in the uk. What I have learnt though is that you must be patient when havin plasic surgery as results arnt instant. Thankyou for your comment and feel free to ask me anything else. Emma
