I am 9 weeks post op today for a full tummy tuck and I am questioning myself on if it was worth it or not! My upper abdomen is still big. It looks as if I still have the pregnant belly. I love the lower abdomen though. My plastic surgeon states that it is just swollen but I seriously don't think so. I have tried the putting on elastic pants and seeing if it leaves an imprint and it don't. It never gets bigger or smaller. Any suggestions?

Did you use a board certified plastic surgeon? I've heard other women say the same thing about upper ab swelling after a full tummy tuck. Doctors have a lot to say aobut this on RealSelf. Please come back and let us know how you're feeling about your tummy tuck in two or three weeks.

Please keep us updated. I am only 5 days out but I feel that this is what I am going to look like. Did you look like your upper abs were bigger after surgery? I can see my lower abs starting to go down but my upper abs still look about the same size. Keep us posted.

Give it time, im 13 weeks post OP and i still swell some days, stay away from salty food and wear a compression garmet, GOOD LUCK, but give it time.

How are you now? Are you sure your doctor tightened your upper abdominal fascia, not just lower?

Can you please tell me what how things turned out for you? I am ten weeks and my upper abdomen is very large. My surgeon ruled out fluid and is treating me with steriods for inflammation.
