So you didn't have your pre-op appointment? So sorry to hear that if that is the case. I'm sure you were really looking forward to this phase. I know I am really looking forward to my pre-op. I have so many questions.

I have my TT scheduled for July 23rd. I am soooo nervous. I was going to do the smartlipo but seeing the results with the tummy tuck is so much better. I work out like crazy and fit and pretty tight everyway but my stomach. Unfortunatly I have to be back at work on 27th maybe 28th I hope I will be able to cope with the pain. So scared.

Best wishes for your surgery!! You will be so happy you did it, but please re-think your plan to go back to work in such a short time. For me the first week was pretty tough, and the thought of going back work soon was out of the question. I origionally planned on going back to work after 4 weeks, but extended it to 7 weeks. I went back to work last Monday and it was a very long week. Again if you can take more time off you should, rest is a very important part of your recovery!! Good luck to you!

It is so worth it! You will be happy you did it. My results are completely amazing and I think it is the best thing I have ever done. The first week is the worst but it gets better each day. Stay strong and positive and all will be fine.

I feel the same as you Bethek. At times I just want it to hurry and be over so I can get on with recovery. Oh well, patience is a virtue.

I was super anxious, but 8 days post-op, I'm so glad I did it. ..I'm definitely still sore, and have probably been over-doing it, but I'm pleased!! Read my posts and see my pics. I am 5'2" and was about 152 at surgery time. :) Best wishes!!

Hang in there! You will be so happy you did! Im 1 week post op. I weigh around 160, and am happy with my results so far, I should have done it earlier! Pain was only bad for about 2 days, and as for the car ride home, I live about an hour from my surgery center, but thankfully I was soo loopy from the anesthesia and pain meds, I dont remember much of it!
bethak 17 Jul 2010
ok, so i m just five min, so I will be okk.So happy to talk to you all.

I had my TT on July 13 just a few words of advice make sure the PS prescribes Enmend I think that is how it is spelled but it is a nausea medication that is prescribed to chemotherapy patients it will last for 3 days you take it the morning of your surgery, kinda of expensive like $50 but well worth it, also get a muscle relaxer for your back you will feel much better from having to walk stooped over just me experience.
bethak 17 Jul 2010
Ty, its good tip
ash1979 17 Jul 2010
Its totally normal to be nervous. I was too! I had a TT, lift and Aug on May 6th. I can tell you this, it will be painful but you will handle it! You WONT be going back to work on the 28th-that I guarantee. Four days out- I could stand for 3 minutes at a time and had to wash my hair in the sink-that took all my energy for the day. Also, you are not supposed to drive until you are off pain meds. I had a real easy recovery and healed well but still needed pain meds for about 11 days, then I got real depressed after I went off the meds- I had no idea!!! They do not tell you about that!

Yes, try to wrangle more sick or vacation days if you can. Five won't quite cut it from what I hear. Just keep focusing on all the great stories you hear at RealSelf to keep your spirits and confidence bolstered. And please keep us updated on how you're doing. Maybe it'd help to record a video diary of yourself. I have a great giveaway going on if you'd be willing.

See details here.

Best of luck to you!!!

Hi, I had a full TT, replacement of old silicone implants on July 2nd. back to work on the 10th, this past monday, although my doctor recommended three weeks off. recovery really depends on your level of fitness, tolerance to pain, prior surgeries. every day the body heals a little bit more.
blueskiesnsunshine 18 Jul 2010
correction to the above, back to work on the 12th.
bethak 18 Jul 2010
I hope I am as strong as you.
