I have scheduled my Tummy Tuck after years of wishing. Its scheduled for 7:30 am May 14. I have been on the 3 week countdown, for almost 3 weeks hehe and on my vitamin C and also colostrum, arnica, and my multivitamin. I have 9 children, but only gave birth to 3 of them at ages 17, 19, and 21 I am 31 now. I am so very excited. My only apprehension is the cost.My dear husband works so hard for us all, and I feel so bad to cause more cost. But he insists if I want it I should get it. I worked very hard to lose 30 lbs last year going from size 10/12 to a size 2. I have a very very busy life as a homeschooling mom to 9.. 8 of whom are 4-13. Thankfully they are well behaved and I will be able to rest as much as I need to. My oldest is 20 and is excited for me, and will support me very much. I have all the meals planned, (and will be purchased tomorrow) for 2 full weeks. I will try and post photos over time. Oh! My stats are: age 31 weight 118 5'3"

I'm really happy for you that you are finally able to have this done. It sounds like you've worked hard and deserve it! We'd love love love to see your photos. And video if you could muster it. (I have an amazing package of goodies to giveaway, so reply to this comment if you could swing one pre-op and one post-op video of yourself talking about your decision, etc.) Best of luck on tomorrow!!!

Thank you! Sorry I do not have a pre op video... but have lots of photos.. just haven't loaded them up yet. I still dont have photos of my tummy post op, as I havent been brave enough to take my compression garment off all the way!

Totally understandable. Well, if you wanted to do, say, two post-op videos (one now and one in a week or two), I'd still love to send you some goodies. Message me if you're interested! You wouldn't have to show your stomach or incision if you didn't want to. You could just fill us in on how you're healing and feeling. Crossing my fingers that everything is smooth sailing from here on out.

I am also having my tt done tomorrow May 14 at 7:30am. I have been waiting since after my twins were born 7 years ago to be able to do this. I'm excited but super nervous. Good luck to you tomorrow!

Hi! I am now 2.5 days into it and am doing surprisingly well! How cool to the poster that had it done at the same exact time as I did! Friday I was sent home about 12 noon... we went to a hotel room so I could rest for 2 days before heading home to the children. I rested, and ate a bit, but mostly slept all day Friday. Sat. I rested, ate, took my vitamins, and then did it all again. I was really scared about bowel movements... but finally was able to with no trouble yesterday, on day 2. Today is day 3 from surgery, and first day home. My youngest daughter has serious emotional needs ( adopted, RAD, FAS etc) and is having a BAD day.. so today has been hard for me. But the pain itself is still bearable. I have my pain pump for a bit more, probably till tomorrow morning. When it runs out I will remove it myself. I see the Dr on Wed. I am hoping for drain removal at that time, but am ok if they are not. I want above all is healthy healing. So far so good! I have some stinging at the ends of the incision, and also the lipo sites. and some soreness of the muscles that were repaired. But over all im SO blessed with my healing. I prepared like crazy with vitamins/nutrients.

Today has been better than the other days, although its been a great experience over all. I got my compression garment off last night, and hubby removed my pain pump. So its nice to have less hanging on me. I had my dd wash my hair while I knelt by the tub this morning AHH that felt so good.. since I cannot shower until the drains come out. Once I got the garment off I felt SO much better less tight lol.. but then I got dizzy more, so slept in tight bike shorts ( what the Dr said to use) but this morning got back into the compression garment. I feel less dizzy. Weird. Over all my tummy looks amazing. I also got lipo of my lateral thighs.. and the TT came with hip lipo. so Im bruised around the back and down the legs.. the lipo holes sting a bit. and the outside edges of the incision sting still. I'm on vicodin still, but instead of every 3-4 hours Im at 5-6 hours. Does anyone know how to edit this so I do not have to post the updates as comment? Also how to add photos? Thanks!
