6 months past FX laser resurface, and I'm quite disappointed. Some scarring from early life acne improved, however, the overall texture of my skin is worse. In fact there are subtle new scars that were not there before. My pore size is larger, and fine lines remain. Today, for the first time I saw the before and after photos in the docs office. The photos were taken in such a way as to demonstrate how certain larger size scars improved, however the resolution of the photos does not show smaller finer features (the actual texture), which is worse.
So when my doctor showed me the pix, he said "see how this has improved", he was showing me a dime sized scar. Anything smaller was not shown in the picture. When I said, "yeah, but the overall texture is worse, and you can't see that in these pictures" he said "Well, nothing is gonna really smooth the texture of your skin, that is scarring that can't be lessened." Makes me wonder why I did this.
