I had my first IPL treatment on my chest about ten days ago, it was relatively painless and I need no pain medication or numbing cream. Immediately afterward it felt as if I had a sunburn and was red and irritated. This lasted for about a day. The spots on my chest started to darken and within a week they began to flake off. I can't believe how much better it looks in such a short period of time! I will definitely go back for at least one more treatment in about a month. I wish I could have this procedure done on my face as well, but my dermatologist did not recommend it as I have some melasma on my face that might react badly to the IPL.
