2 years 4 months post op

I am not completely happy with my results. I have had to have continued monitoring by Dr Smith as I have had changes happen to my nose since my last post. Well not changes really as I have always had concerns about my tip and my nostrils but I was under the impression that swelling would take care of these probles.....I have a bulbous almost balloon like tip and my nostrils are uneven and my columella is distorted and shifted. Furthermore, my nostrils are pulled to one side. I also have bleeding whenever I blow my nose, on right side. I continue to have appts with Dr. Smith and he agrees with my concerns 100% but tells me there is only a 50 % chance of correcting my nostril and columella abnormality. But I did not do this to my self. The surgery did it. I am saddened. My heart is heavy. I don't look horrible but I feel like I saved up for this and was partially let down. Before the surgery I hated my profile but liked my front view. Now I like my profile but not my front view. I can't win.

Here are some more pics. I jumped the gun and hit post before I was ready.

Patience and happiness

I really like my nose. It is now about 5 months since I had my open septo-rhinoplasty and other repairs to my nose. I have always maintained patience and calm throughout the months, simply trusting my surgeon and respecting the healing process. It has taken my nose a long time to finally emerge, especially my front view. And there is still lots of healing to go! Some days my nose looks swollen and some days it doesn't. Salt, carbs, alcohol, stress, working out, you name it, it affects my nose. Enjoy the pics!
