I am only five days post-op from my breast reduction. I am a very healthy 22-year old. I was a 34DD+ and am now about a C. I had no problems during surgery and so far seem to be healing very well, besides the fact that I am losing sensation.

I am 5 days post-op and very concerned. I have complete sensation in my left breast. Two days post-op, I lost sensation in my right nipple/areola, and now, at day 5, I am numb under my areola. I am gradually losing sensation. Is this normal to lose feeling slowly? Could it be stiches that need to be removed?

Hehe your comment made me laugh. THANK YOU though! I need reassurance like that! I'm 12 days post-op and still numb! :-/ It is frustrating, but i'm trying to be patient. Best of luck to you!

This is probably due to swelling. If you had sensation after surgery then you will regain it. Remember with any surgery on the breast one runs the risk of loss of sensation or hypersensitivity
