33 Years Old, Always the "Fat Girl" - Tijuana, MX

Not sure on exact dates on some of these pictures, but trying to make my best guess. Nothing too exciting the last few weeks other than stressing over the belly button wound and the drain hole wound. They're both pretty slow to heal and I keep worrying that they might be infected.

They're finally starting to look better though these last few days (belly button still can be iffy sometimes).

I'm really pleased with my shape mostly. i wish my scar was further along as I want to use silicone sheets on it but since it still has scabbing on some portions I haven't started yet.

I still have tons of swelling. Noticeable swelling on my back (which is odd, when I started I always had the tummy swelling and of course all the original lipo swelling, but the back swelling just started this week).

Swelling is the worst when I get home from work, I have a sit down job and I try to walk every once in awhile to help but it's still pretty crummy at the end of the day.

I did notice a lot of improvement on how I felt this week and mobility. I'm almost at week 5 right now

I did go back to work day 14 which was a bit rough. If i would have had more work time to take off, I would have taken additional week off as I definitely could have used the rest. And sitting up all day was making me swell like crazy. It was also just so uncomfortable putting on clothes for work.

I had a slow to heal issue with my front drain hole. It was oozing a lot (my back drain hole didn't do that). I used medi honey on it for awhile as I was absolutely terrified that I'd end up with an infection since I didn't have a local doctor to care for things. Was worried that insurance wouldn't cover if I went to my primary care. Anyhow, I kept up with changing gauze frequently and using medihoney on my wound. It didn't get worse but didn't seem to be healing either. Over the last few days I've been letting it "air out" more and in doing so it finally scabbed over and seems to be healing though it's still a bit slow to do so.

these were the days where i started to feel a lot better! i was able to get around with less help and was feeling more like myself overall. as pretty much everyone else says, the drains were a pain. more irritating than anything else. i was able to get the front drain out right before i left Tijuana (left on day 9) but had to keep the back drain in when i went home. i got all my stitches out before i left on day 8 other than the one connecting the remaining drain and the ones in my belly button (belly button ones remained in til week 3 post op).

the flight home on day 9 was pretty miserable but i was ecstatic to be heading back home. as nice as it was being taken care, i was missing my home by that point. i had southwest airlines use the wheelchair assistance and i'm very glad i did as i would not have been able to stand up and move around for so long in dealing with security and all that stuff. i had a short flight home but i was swollen and miserable by the time i landed.
