Almost 2 weeks and some meds cutoff

What an amazing journey, I wish I would have done this earlier but God's timing is perfect ?

So I don't have boils anymore, no weird bumps from nowhere. I don't feel fatigued as I did before, I even went our for a walk at 11pm coz I didn't know what to do with the energy. I'm off for a month so that's fine.

So my Family Doctor personally told me he is proud of me. I have lost a whooping 30lbs haha without surgery I could have lost a pound maybe for a week and then get it back the next week. Anyway my Doctor has lowered my meds I am now taking 20 units of insulin twice a day from taking 120 units twice a day and my Atenolol for BP which was 100ml is now 25mg once a day and I am off metformin, he says it's so I don't upset my new tummy. I am so proud and happy and I got shorts yesterday lol! I have always been afraid of shorts coz I'm top heavy and skinny legs so I thought not a good look but I am hoping my body will start looking proportioned enough for me to be adventurous with clothes?

Back from Surgery

I had a great trip to Mexico. The place a little confusing and the way they do things very unusual but I must say they were professional and I needed help and I got it from them?. I am a little sore but I'm not on pain meds anymore, last night was the first time I went to bed without pain meds I could have stopped them a couple of days ago but traveling back to Canada took its toll on me. So my first NSV is my glasses fell off my face lol! I guess my face is shrinking and I don't mind coz while in Mexico I ordered a new pair coz they were cheaper but now I even can justify the purchase.
So not to forget the first night out of surgery I was in such bad shape I thought I was dying and every time I felt a little better I asked myself what I was doing lol.
But since surgery I have only had 2 shots of insulin so that to me is good. I have not gone in to see my Doctor but even I know that isf my sugars are normal there is no reason to use insulin so I will wait for the professional deliberation on that but so far so good.

I am hoping to reverse the effects of diabetes to...

I am hoping to reverse the effects of diabetes to my organs. I lost my teeth and wear dentures and the more weight I keep adding on I am more sick and slower in everything, my performance at work has been slowed down by either the diabetes or the weight gain. My starting weight was 304 lbs and 12 days into my pre-op I am 294. My pre-op allows me to have a salad with my choice dressing and a lean meat for supper. Only the last 3 days pre-op I go through clear fluids. As per requirement I have taken a laxative and cleaning myself out.

Provider Review

Dr Elias Ortiz

I have not met my surgeon yet but I have talked to my co-ordinators and I am pleased and so updated with what will transpire.
