TOTALLY WORTH IT! Awesome Experience :) - Tijuana Mexico

After losing 100+ pounds from the vertical sleeve gastrectomy, I was left with large amounts of excess skin. I had a full apron, breasts with no tissue aside from loose, sagging skin that fell nearly to my belly button and a butt that wouldn't stand up to any jeans without some serious spanx assistance. I searched for months in my local area and after four quotes in excess of 20k, I had almost given up hope of being able to get the procedures my new body desperately needed. I began looking at doctors abroad and researching surgeons in various countries that might be able to fulfil my requirements. When I found Dr. Fuentes at the Cosmed Clinic in Tijuana, I finally felt a sense of relief. I did many additional months of research on the clinic's background and reviews, I wanted to be sure I knew what I would be getting into with this adventure. After taking the leap and making my initial deposit, I anxiously drove towards the Mexican border. The shuttle driver was friendly and conversational, immediately setting me at ease. He helped us with local information and helped provide some additional history on the clinic.
Arriving at the clinic was incredible, I stepped off the Tijuana streets into an upscale and posh environment with very welcoming staff members who truly cared about my well-being. I felt safe, comfortable and prepared for the next steps.
My recovery was not nearly as long as I expected and I was actually able to go out and enjoy the city a bit during my stay. I went home less than a week after the procedure (full lower body lift and complete breast reconstruction with augmentation) and was back to work the following week (desk job).
It has been two years since my surgery and I have been thankful every. single. day. I can't say enough wonderful things about the experience and I have sent several close friends to CosMed for work. I will try to find some of my before pictures (I tried to hide them all away) but I am including a collection of after pictures so you can see the amazing work Dr. Fuentes did for me. I'll be going back to have my thighs and arms done in the future. It's so worth the trip!
