My story I am a single mother of three grown...
My story
I am a single mother of three grown kids. I have tried to lose weight for many years and I suffer hypothyroid which doesn’t help. I have been on a ongoing battle of trying to lose weight. I had a lot of fat and skin in the front of my abdominal area and a little on back. After my PCP had told me I would be a great candidate for a tummy tuck. I told myself I was going to have this surgery done. I was on a mission.
I came across Dr. S online in and I am so happy I did, I flew from San Antonio to San Diego than drove to Tijuana and I won’t lie I was a nervous wreck. Because I had never meet or saw my doctor directly or in person. I only spoke with him and his staff on the phone. & when I did research I couldn’t find many reviews neither, the few that I found were positive. I was convince and I wanted to finally get this done. So I planed my trip with his office.
When I arrived on that Sunday his driver picked me up from the San Diego airport on time as promised. We droved across the boarder and the driver took me to the hotel. The hotel was very nice. The food is very expensive so bring money. On Monday Hilda his nurse pick me up and took me to the office or clinic. I waited in the waiting area than Violeta gave me some medical papers to fill out, so I did. Than took me to the back to take my vitals and blood work to see if I’m healthy. All my labs work came back good.
So we proceeded to the next step which is the resting or recovery room. Nicely decorated. There I had undress and he begin to draw on the area that was going to be removed. I told him my concerns and he assured me he would do everything he could. I was given a nasty pill to put under my tongue to relax me. Boy, did that work. I than waited on the recovery room a little longer. Dr. C… came in and introduce himself as the anesthesiologist and he explained the process. They ask me to walk to the operating room to lie on the stretch bed and they had two beds which was odd to me. Dr. C.. Saw my face and explained one to operate on and the other to lie you over in when your done. I was like okay. Hilda begin with the IV and Dr. C put something in it and I was out. When I woke up it was late in the day (6pm PT) and Hilda got me ready to go back to the hotel.
Melina came in my room to discharge me and explain the medications and process of healing as well as the care I should take. When arriving back to the hotel I was so tired and just slept through Tuesday. I had left on a Wednesday early in the morning my driver was on time and off to the boarder crossing. I was sure happy I went to the bathroom and took my meds before we cross the boarder it’s a long wait, like almost 2 hours. & make sure you get a passport cause they will give you a hard time crossing. I’m now ____days post op and I’m satisfy with my out come. I do plan on having more done in the near future. If you have any question on my experiences I would be happy to share or answer any question you may have.
I do hope my experiences helps you find what you are looking for and good luck on you search.
I will post pictures a little later.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience here. When was your surgery? We'd love to know to put it all in context.
Wow monnie! That is wonderful you are so happy with your results. So did you go alone on this journey? I guess I am a bit of a chicken because I could never leave my home town for a surgical procedure.
Keep us up to date on how you are doing.
That is good news:) Glad you had some company along with you.
