Worth It
Spent: $2,800 in Houston, TX
I consider myself a fairly attractive lady, but age is starting to catch up to me (no I won't say how old I am!). Most of you know what I mean... slight wrinkling here and there along the face, signs of sagging skin, etc. So just like any other gal who wants to maintain the beauty of her youth, I started looking into all the options available. A face lift sounded way too extreme - who wants scarring and an unnatural look? Chemical peels looked more like junk science to me (the image of a Shaman claiming to heal villagers comes to mind). And then a dermatologist told me about Thermage. I read up about it on thermage.com and looked up many reviews at sites like this too. What I found in recent studies was that the company significantly changed its device and tips during 2007 to address the issues many patients previously had: -Efficacy is far greater than it ever was (you need to give it a few months though, this isn't an overnight face lift) -Discomfort is very minimal now (you will still feel some minor pain) -The time it takes to do undergo a procedure has gotten even shorter With all this in mind, I decided to give it a chance around much of my face. What I saw was a slight change in the week afterward. But in the 2 months following Thermage I compared myself to a before picture and noticed a TON of subtle improvements. I was very happy and the results have lasted so far. It's a natural look I can be proud of. My derm told me that Thermage is coming out with a CELLULITE tip next March which sounds really exciting! I will definitely be following up to see if I'm a candidate for it.

This review sounds like a representative of the company trying to sell its product.

Yes they do that... All the non invasive treatments are very dangerous Thermage and Fraxel the worst... If it bothers you bad enough to risk being scarred for life by a non-ablative device that MIGHT have an effect if your one of the lucky.... It shouldn't bother you to take a little downtime with a proven procedure that has been around and truly works... These are all marketing ploys $3000-$5000 for a 15 minute procedure they let the nurse do...... Please Don't be a victim of this insanity.....Go Tried and True....Suck up the down time... It shouldn't be a consideration when it comes to your face.... What is most likely to give you the result you want with the least risk that has been around the longest? Should be your concern!!!!!
