Here I am, living proof that men are vain too! I had Thermage last March and I’m going back for another treatment in a few days to work on my sagging neckline and jowls. The first treatment went swimmingly. The skin pulled right up and is much firmer now. More treatments will only make this better and I can’t wait for my next appointment.
I have to say a few words about my doctor. He’s the best and totally understood a man (not your idea of a typical patient) coming in for what he called “a little help.” He said that he sees a lot of men, husbands, businessmen, etc. who come in and he’s done a lot of Thermage on male problems like double chins and sagging jowls, just like me. I was nervous and I needed to hear this. I wanted a doctor who was not only very experienced with fixing problems like mine but also one who understood where I was coming from. He was very discrete and professional.
The only problem is he did such a good job that people found out anyway (what a problem to have, huh?)! See, I was hoping to keep it a secret (that was part of the charm of not having surgery). My coworkers, most of whom are female, didn’t even know I was going in for any procedures and suddenly I showed up with a “new me” in a matter of weeks. They kept asking me what I had done because the change was so drastic - did I have some miracle diet or cream? - and so I caved and told them about going for Thermage. Now a few of them are going for consultations with my doctor.
In my opinion Thermage is a perfect way for professionals to discretely improve their appearance without going under the knife. That’s all I needed and I’m so glad I went for it.
