“Laser for Unwanted Facial Hair”

I decided to do something more permanent with my upper lip hair. It’s something I’ve always dealt with, shaving, plucking and waxing . That's why I went for laser hair removal.
10 years ago I considered electrolysis but was turned off by it because they wanted me to grow the hair out before they’d take me. No way! whole reason I wanted it done was so people wouldn’t notice it so much.
I was in the dark about laser hair removal until about two years ago. I always assumed it was the same as electrolysis, just under a different name. Who can keep track?
But I found out lasers were different and as long as you weren’t waxing or plucking between treatments they didn’t care if you shaved. I signed up for an eight-session package where I had to go back every two months.
The actual procedure only took 5-10 minutes and then I was done. The worst thing about it was that my upper lip - being sensitive skin - was slightly puffy for a day or two afterwards. That wasn’t too bad though and no worse than a bad waxing job. I will have to go in for maintenance sessions every year but that’s a lot better than the time and money I was spending before laser hair removal, not to mention that it certainly hurts less than waxing.
People seem really hesitant to do this and I don’t know why. Money was maybe my biggest issue but most reputable clinics have no-interest finance plans. You can scrape together $1,200 for the whole package and then never have to buy wax kits or razors again. That alone makes it worth it to me.
