My Bangkok experience so far- Post Surgery Part 2
Hey Everyone!
I was originally going to do my next post in a few days but I feel that I wanted to explain this day while it was still fresh in my mind.
Destination Beauty- POD 4: Well, today was propbably the worst day here so far (on par with surgery day anyways). I woke up feeling average, still not stomaching food that well but still had some fruit and a peice of toast for breakfast.
Shortly after that we decided to go back to MBK and have another look around and purchase some of the things that we had seen when we visited on our first visit. All was good until about half way in where I started to feel dizzy & cross-eyed. I decided to sit in McDonalds and order a frozen Coke, just to try and get some sugar in my system. It didn't work. I sat for about 15mins until my Breastie had finished looking in one of the shops. We had a further look around as I was on a mission, but I got to the point where she had to link arms with me as I was walking into things and couldn't see strait. We then went into a department store where I could sit down and decided to call one of the drivers that work for Destination Beauty as he had given us his business card and didn't want to risk putting me in a taxi. When we spoke to him, he explained that all of the drivers, including himself were too busy to take me home. So in the end we ended up catching a taxi home, which we were not happy about.
Once we were at the hotel, my Breastie escorted me to my room as I was progressively getting worse by this point and we decided to call the DB office that is located in the hotel. When my Breastie called, the woman in the office said that she was by herself as everyone was at a seminar in Australia (including my tour rep), and the woman we were in contact with here was the only person available. WTF??!! We asked of they at least had a nurse on call, but no such luck there either! The woman called around and said she could organise a transfer to the hospital to get looked at, but I decided not to until I had a nap, but she said the transfer would be an out of pocket expense (not too expensive, but thats not the point), but the consultation was free. Shortly after that conversation, she called back again saying that she spoke with the nurse and she said to stop taking the pain meds. NO S**T!! I worked that one out on my own! Anyways, after a nap, I felt a lot better and decided to head down to dinner. But wait, there's more!
As we started to make our short walk to the french restaurant (which I do recommend), I started to feel bit dizzy again, but I didn't mention anything as I was hoping it would pass once I got some food into me. It was just Wishful thinking. Come about 10mins of sitting down, before our meals even came out I had to say something as I felt as if my eyes were going spazzy and I couldn't see strait. I was really distressed by the whole thing, and ended up crying in the middle of the restaurant! Lol I was crying for various reasons such as being ill so far from home, missing my boyfriend & I was terrified. I was lucky that we were having dinner with a registered nurse who knew what to do and everyone was really helpful. When our meals came out I only picked at my food, and I only ate the food because everyone forced me too! Lol Once I had a cry and some food in my belly I did feel alot better, & my eyes had improved a lot but not 100%. The poor manager of the venue was probably wonder where there is some crazy lady balling her eyes out in the middle of his venue! Probably not good for business! lol My Breastie so kindly went to the 7/11 and got me a Garorade and a few other sugary juices.
Once back in the hotel, my Breastie helped me get settled and made sure I didn't pass out and hit my head on anything! That just would have topped off my day! Lol The fact that I had my last pain killer at breakfast time and I still had side effects at dinner time leads me to suspect in might be something else making me ill as the pain killer should be out of my system by then.
Overall, today was a pretty shitty day. I was very disappointed that DB wasn't there to support me, when it was my understanding that they would be on call to answer or help me at any time of day or night. My Breastie did a better job at supporting me and looking after me than they did, when she really didn't have to help me as she is going through her own recovery process. I don't know what I would have done if she hadn't been with me today! I must send her a thank you when we get back to Perth!! Even now while writing this review, my eyes are kinda going back to cross eyed.
Once agin, this is just my experience, and it is possible that this whole DB misfortune happened to be on the date that my group tour, but the still should have had at least 1 nurse on standby for situations like mine.
I do find it funny that people are worried and concerned about botched boob jobs, infections etc, but there is more chance of side effects from medications that anything else! Or maybe this is just another side effect talking lol ;)
I really can't complain about my boobs. Still super happy with them! I still recommend Dr NJ! He really knows his stuff!
Goodnight All!

My Bangkok experience so far- Post Surgery Part 1: Surgery Day to PO Day 3
D-DAY!!!!! Destination Beauty, Pivayte & Dr NJ: Well needless to say, I didn't get much sleep the night before, due to nerves, excitement, but mainly worried I would sleep through my alarm! lol
I met with another lady while in the Somerset lobby waiting for our transfer to the hospital. She is also going through DB who I had been in contact with via RS, but she wasn't doing the group tour.
Once at TRIA we were taken for blood tests, X-rays, initial sizing appointment (not with Dr NJ, but with a nurse & our DB rep Me-Ow) & a GP appointment (apparently even if you have a letter from your specialist, you still have to be double checked through the hospital at your own expense). Once all that was done, I was taken to my room where I had my shower with special soap & got changed into my sexy surgical gown jk lol. I was then put onto a drip and they did more standardised tests (blood pressure, temp etc), then played the waiting game...
Dr NJ was running a tad late due to delays with a earlier appointment, which he was very apologetic about, and due to me having have had the opportunity to try on sizers earlier that day, it made our consult a lot quicker. I told him my 2 preferences and he explained the difference between the two (either 355 or 385), but in the end I decided to go with the bigger as he said diameter wouldn't be much different, but its just how much it would protrude, which even then isn't much difference. But in all honesty, I think the main reason for getting the larger was my fear of boob greed! Lol
The procedure was only 1hr after my consult due to the earlier delay and everything went smoothly. I remember only talking to one of the nurses and being strapped to the table. I refused to look to my right where I knew all the equipment would be all played out so I didn't freak out. That is the last I remember for that part! Im not sure what time I woke up, and it actually took me a while to realise what I was doing and that I had actually got my boobs done! I only remembered when I tried to sit up and it bloody hurt! Lol My boobs were bandaged really tight so I couldn't even sneak a peak at what they looked like! I didn't really feel i could stomach a lot of food so I just had a handful of grapes.
Trying to get in & out of bed was a whole other journey every time! I still struggle! I had to have the nurse help me in & out of bed and walk me to the loo and pull my pants up & down etc. I know its part of their job, but I was in so much pain I couldn't care less at that point, when normally I would feel bad about it! lol I was very shaky every time I had to get out of bed.
The came & took my blood pressure & temp every few hrs, just to play it safe. I was so dehydrated, I couldn't get enough water into me! lol
I was in & out of consciousness throughout the day, which means that my body was healing.
Destination Beauty, Piyvate & Dr NJ- PO Day 1: Yay! I survived the operation day with no hiccups! Woohoo. I didn't get the best sleep for various reasons such as I had been sleeping a lot the day before, getting woken up for BP & temp tests & for some reason needing to pee all the time! I was so dehydrated I dunno why lol. They also had been giving me pain killers and antibiotics through my drip the night before and all day and removed my IV Drip. I kept requesting to get it back to at least ease SOME of the deydration but I think there was too much of a language barrier which I was starting to notice a bit more now that I was bit more lucid & was sometimes quite frustrating.
The gave me a bed bath which was a tad uncomfortable but it did make me feel better.
Once again I was in & out of sleep due to constant interruptions, but once again, the nursers are just doing their job.
Our group rep Me-ow kindly popped in see how I was feeling. It was nice to see a familiar face. Finally Dr NJ came to give me a visit and took my bandages off! How exciting was that! FYI VERY EXCITING LOL He was very happy with his work and explained to me the positioning and some of the finer details re nipples or something. I was too focused on staring at my new boobs! Lol We made a followup time & day and He put some waterproof bandaids over my steristrip that are covering my stitches & gave me the go ahead to have a shower, which is what I did immediately after he left! I still needed the nurses help to turn the shower on, dry me down & help me get dressed. I honestly felt so much better until...
I STARTED THE PAIN MEDS IN PILL FORM! The side effects of the pain meds was nausea & dizzyness & oh boy, did I get them both! I still hadn't felt the need to eat anything, even though the suggest to eat something, so I decided to have a slice of orange. Im pretty sure you can imagine the rest on your own lol Getting out of bed & going to the loo was still a huge struggle, but once or twice I managed to do it by myself, but It really was easier with the nurse.
It was really hard to keep track of time due to napping all the time, but when it was bedtime they come & give you a sleeping pill, which really did help me get a better nights rest.
Pivayte/Destination Beauty. PO DAY 2: This was probably the most frustrating day so far. I was getting really frustrated with the language barrier & communication between some of the nurses. I am generally a cool calm and collected person, but due to the pain meds still messing with my body (not as bad though), missing my boyfiend & overall struggle to move and just wanting to get out of the hospital.
I managed to have a shower without any help that morning and figured a way to get myself out of bed without needing help. It involved swinging my legs off the bed then using my head to lift my upper body on the bed railing. It was awkward but it worked lol
Once again I was in & out of sleep which is a good thing.
I also had another lovely visit from our Me-Ow, but this time she came bering gifts which was a nice gesture!!
I did get annoyed when I asked what time I was due to be discharged, I was told 4pm. Come 4pm i still hadn't had anyone to get me sign me out and then when I asked, they said I was getting discharged at 5pm. I decided to go for a wander but started to feel ill so decided it wasn't a good idea to venture too far! I asked again around 430pm my discharge time (wishful thinking) and they said I could be discharged then and have someone collect my things. I was then escorted down to the lobby where I ended up having to wait another 15 mins due to traffic jams, then once I was put into a van, something just didn't feel right as my previous transfer vehicles were much nicer than this one. I waited about 10mins before they realised their mistake and put me in the correct van which had my other Breastie in it. There were a lot of vans & transfer vehicles waiting for various patients so I can understand their consfusion, but at the same time, they should have a better transfer vehicle system.
Destination Beauty PO Day 3: Nothing too exciting today, I have noticed a slight change since yesterday which kind of shocked me that they change so quickly! When we checking at the hotel last night we were assigned different & even BETTER apartments!
I think I have found a way to get out of bed rather than sliding onto the floor like I did last night lol Someone suggested pulling my knees up to my chest and rock back & forth until you can sit upright. I really is the best so far! Why did no-one tell me this at the start! Lol
My Breastie & I did bit of shopping today, & got our hair washed & blow waved & OMG it was just what we needed. Besides getting to wash our gross hospital hair, being pampered took our mind off the pain! I also bought some antiseptic alcohol to try and remove the marker that Dr NJ used when he drew all over me in our consult! I just can't seem to get it off! I tried it when I got home and I still can't get it all off without my skin getting irritated! Any other suggestions besides this? We had a quiet night at the Somerset restraunt now here I am, updating you guys on my BA story!!
We still have to take antibiotics & pain meds which are still making me feel sick and dizzy, but at least I am not actually BEING sick! I did take a plastic back to the shopping centre with me, just to be safe lol
Im sorry If you got bored by all the mini details, but I figure it might be helpful to some people. Just remember, that my experience may be completely different to your experience, so please don't judge anything 100% based on what I have written.
Will update again soon!
I have attached a few pics to show you the difference!

My Bangkok experience so far, Pre Surgery...
Hey Everyone! Sorry for the absence. Just been getting my Boob Job Done!! Woo Hoo!! I just thought I would give you a update on whats been happening so far!
Destination Beauty- Day 1: When I landed in Bangkok I found slightly difficult to find my transfer person, but that was partly my fault for not reading my info properly. Shortly after checking in we were given a Thai pre-paid phone so we could contact each other and even our loved ones back home, which really helped and I knew I would want to speak to my boyfiend back home the whole time. We were then ushered into the van again to be whisked way to a nice dinner with our tour driver & Destination Beauty Rep Me-Ow at Asiaitique (spelling) Night Markets, where we got to know each other bit better (there are only 3 in my group, myself included), and we saw a lady-boy cabaret show which was great & had the option to go shopping but we were all pretty exhausted from flying that day. Apparently our schedule had been slightly changed so we didn't have as much time in between checking into our room & leaving again which was a tad annoying as I just wanted a hour to relax!
Our self-contained apartments are so lovely & so big! I could live in it!! I can't fault them in that department! Lol
Destination Beauty- Day 2: Started off with a light breakfast before headed off for a full body massage! Wow did I need it!! Those women have hands of steel, so I recommend you learn how to say "gentle" in Thai! (which is "bow-bow" btw)
After that we were taken to one of the largest and local shopping centres in the area MBK which sold both real and fake items, so you really have to double check, but you do have the opportunity to barter with them. After a few hrs there, we were taken back to the hotel to have a nap and get ready for dinner at a five star hotel, which was lovely! It was buffet style, with delicious food, but drinks were not included (not that we were allowed booze anyways) so I just pretended and ordered a mocktail lol
Will keep you updated on my post surgery!!!

Provider Review
Dr. Narongdej Jiarapeepan
I found my experience with Dr NJ brief but strait to the point. You could tell he was experienced by the confidence he expressed when we had out discussion and even made a joke about it to ease the nerves!
