“Not Worth It...horrible Headaches - Tennessee”
Spent: $175 in Tennessee
Posted 2 Nov 2011
I decided to attend a "Botox party". The cost was half of what it would have been through an office. It was not painful at all and I saw results within about 5 days. About a week or so after the treatment I noticed I was waking up with tension type headaches. I thought maybe I was clenching or grinding my teeth at night or my neck was unsupported. But everyday I have been waking up with the same headache, it is through my temples, behind my ears, and down the base of my neck. I thought I would research more and see if the Botox could have caused it and sure enough there are hundreds of reports of a "Botox headache" after treatment. Some people stated it was normal and would go away within a week or 2. It has been 3 weeks today and they are definitely no better and seem worse. It was a last minute decision to go to the party and I know better than to jump in head first. Never again,
I have always had heavy lines on my forward because for some reason I am constantly raising my brows. Now that I can't I also feel like my eyelids are droopier....probably not, but being I can't raise my brows, it feels that way. I just pray and hope the headaches go away, it will be a bitch (and so will I) to live with for the next 3 months.

HI JenBob,
Unfortuantly, your complaint is not uncommon. You might want to check out the forum post Headache After Botox. Based on what those ladies have said the Botox eventually goes away taking the headache with it. Hope that helps.
Thanks,
-Britt
Jen, did they subside? I have the deep forehead lines, too (it just means we're expressive, right??). I'm scared to get Botox though. I just got bangs and it's made a huge difference for me. I never thought I was a bangs girl, but I'm getting used to them and even liking them.
