Over several years, I have had a tummy tuck and breast augmentation (together), a few years later a lower face lift and eye lift, and most recently a skin grafting to repair basal cell removal. The tummy tuck was to repair c-section results and overall "drooping" in the abdominal area. At the same time, I chose a moderate breast enhancement to help "balance" my lower and upper body proportions. I was very pleased with the results of both.

Later, I chose to have what I would call a "moderate" face lift, not aggressively "tight" as we have all seen other surgeons/patients results. The cost of repeated fillers, botox, etc seemed excessive so I opted for the surgery to provide a less-tired, more youthful and just refreshed look. It is a very natural result.

The skin grafting was more of an emergency and quite tricky and Dr. Rieger was the only surgeon I trusted to help solve the problem of a large area of removed tissue on my nose. It is now impossible to tell where the scarring originally was.

My Doctor: Francis (Frank) William Rieger, MD

My rating:

Of course the most important quality in a surgeon is technical skill and competence. However, when undergoing any cosmetic treatment, a sense of total trust and confidence is also crucial. Dr. Rieger epitomizes both. Procedures are explained and options thoroughly discussed but he also listens to and empathizes with his patients' concerns. I was particularly impressed with the reaction of the nurses at the surgery center, one of whom volunteered that Dr. Rieger was the only surgeon she would ever choose were she to have any cosmetic procedure, based not only on his skill and manner, but on his absolute perfectionism in the operating theatre. The office staff and the whole environment is very warm and caring. You should choose a surgeon for his technical skill, but choose a doctor for his gentle and caring manner; in Dr. Rieger you get the whole package. He is both a gentle man and a true gentleman.
