Lower Abdomen-not As Painless As They Say! - Tampa, FL

I'm about 5'7, 147 pds, work out regularly but starting to develop a "pouch". One of my friends had Coolsculpt on her flanks and said it was painless and the best thing she ever did, so I decided to try it on my lower abdomen. I was considering Liposonix but ready a lot of reviews regarding the pain and the fact that someone had to drive you because of the pain medication you would be given. Cool sculpting sounded easier and was much less expensive so that made my decision. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, but will tell you those first six minutes I felt as though my insides were being sucked out- the suction or draw will take your breath away. Once you are frozen, it's not painful but uncomfortable because you can't really take a deep breath and the device feels heavy. Once the hour was up- the practioner warned me the worst part is removing the device and massaging your frozen roll back into place. Holy cow-THAT was uncomfortable and the massage was painful-I was experiencing intense cramping and felt like my insides were going to fall out. Not everybody experiences this but some do and I felt I had to write this review in case you're one of them. I broke out in a cold sweat and my legs were so shakey I could not get up. I felt intensely sick and wasn't sure if I was going to throw up- have my insides fall out - or pass out. The staff was very sympathetic- giving me orange juice and reassuring me it would pass. It finally did- but took about an hour of nausea, diarrhea , and chills to pass. Then I was exhausted! I drove myself home and napped for another hour. When I got up I felt fine and have no issues since. No bruising but occasional tinges of pain. These tinges on a scale of 1-10 are a 2...nothing compared to the earlier Richter scale of pain. Not sure of the results - it takes awhile. I feel like its worked but that could be intense wishful thinking because I don't think I could go through that again. Perhaps the flanks don't hurt as much...
