I had a revision rhinoplasty with Alex in August...
I had a revision rhinoplasty with Alex in August 2014 and I couldn’t recommend him enough – he is a highly skilled surgeon and an extremely friendly and considerate human being.
Pre-procedure: When I first went to see Alex he intently listened and empathised with my predicament, which was mostly the loss of ability to breathe out of my nose. He took time to explain several techniques to help improve this situation (most of which I didn’t even think were possible). He did not pressure me at all to go ahead with the surgery and was extremely professional in his prognosis.
Procedure: After I decided to go ahead Alex provided me with enough time to ask questions and on the day of the surgery he helped me feel calm ahead of the procedure. He chose an excellent anaesthetists and I had no feeling of nausea or otherwise after waking up. The hospital was an amazingly modern, clean and peaceful facility – and certainly the best hospital that I have ever stayed at. Alex took his time with the procedure and did not – as many surgeons do – book back to back operations. This very much made me feel like he cared about the outcome – not just to make money – and that he genuinely held himself to high standards by providing enough time to execute the operation with care. The morning after he came to check up on me – which was also extremely considerate – and furthermore he brought some pastries and coffee – demonstrating that he is not only a highly skilled surgeon but also a very decent and caring person. Alex provided me with all the correct medication and there were no complications during or after surgery, and instead of taking cartilage grafts from my ribs (which was a possibility) he managed to skilfully use the available materials already in my nose. Alex was clearly extremely careful during the procedure as I remarkably I had no bruising and barely any swelling following the surgery – care combined with skilful taping and prescription of appropriate medications to counteract swelling.
The results: I am ecstatic about the aesthetic and functional improvements that Alex brought about to my nose, and even immediately following surgery I could tell how much more space was available to finally breathe. My quality of life has drastically improved as now I can breathe, sleep and exercise without the problems that I had grown accustomed to. I couldn’t recommend Alex enough as a surgeon and would go back to him immediately if I were to need any other procedures performed, furthermore I will be recommending him to any family and friends should they need his help. I couldn’t thank you enough Alex!
