While Dr Merten is indeed pragmatic and caring, I was nonetheless disappointed in my rhinoplasty. I have waited a full year before writing this review and write it now as objectively and fairly as possible. From my particular experience, I would not recommend Dr Merten for rhinoplasty. Comparing before and after photos: my original nose was straighter; the nostrils were left uneven; the columnella was not properly aligned before stitched; and there was no discernible narrowing of the nose or tip which had been my primary request. That said, I do think Dr Merten is a good surgeon. My nose simply was not one of his successes.
