Photos - 1 week post op

1 week post op - still really uncomfortable!

Hello! Back again. It's been a week and my body feels pretty much the same except I'm not on pain killers or muscle relaxants anymore ... but without all that I do still feel like I'm a 3 on the pain scale. I can't imagine wanting to bear hug anyone or sleep on my stomach or even side. I also can't imagine what I would feel like if I'd had bigger implants. I know people experience pain differently, but I expect my pecs would be screaming in agony if I'd had 400cc implants. I stopped taking any kind of pain meds about 2 days ago because I hadn't done a poop since before surgery and I hate being constipated. That's all cleared up now thankfully.

I don't feel like my boobs have dropped at all over the week nor do I notice a reduction in swelling.

I do have this rather bizarre side effect in that my upper abdomen has become swollen in the last 3 or 4 days - I look a bit like I did a month after delivering my children. I've done some research and discovered that some women who have BA's do experience abdominal swelling. I also spoke to the nurse at the clinic and she thought it could be trapped wind from constipation expanding my belly. But I'm not constipated anymore and the abdominal swelling hasn't subsided since that cleared up. I wondered if it might be because I was taking muscle relaxants and I have weakened, slightly separated abdominal muscles from 2 pregnancies. Whatever it is, I'm not cool with it and I want it to go away now. I didn't sign up for better tah tahs only to end up with a pot. You can sort of see it in my photos.

I've got the first follow up appointment with my surgeon in 5 days. He'll assess me and change the dressing on the incisions.

More 1 day post op photos

I forgot to mention in my previous post that the surgeon put both the 245cc and the 280 cc sizers in me during surgery and sat me up to determine the best size. The 245's have an 11.5cm base width, whereas the 280's have a 12 cm base width and a tiny bit more projection. He said that both he and his female assistant who was a very similar build to me, thought that the 245's looked best on my chest and achieved exactly what I wanted - a natural, athletic look suitable for my frame.
