Swelling!

O.K. so I know I'm only 3 weeks out (tomorrow) but when can I expect some relief from the swelling? I guess I had some picture in my head of what I was supposed to look like after the procedure but I was so wrong. My stomach is not flat, especially around the incision line. In the mornings it's much better but by the end of the day I am ready to lay down and put my feet up. The swelling is so uncomfortable my belly feels tighter than it should. I have been reading and I know that after this type of trauma to your body that swelling is normal, but I just want it to go away. Ok I guess I'm done with my rant. To end on a positive; even though I am swollen my stomach still looks one thousand times better that it did. I will keep my before picture handy for the days when I'm feeling not so flat as a reminder:)

Some updated Pics

Had another appointment with the PS today, everything is progressing well and was put in yet another garment and given some steroid cream to help flatten out the scar. I am really happy with my results so far and hopefully things will only get better. I'm still standing a little hunched but I'm trying everyday to straighten out my posture. I' back at work but so far my wardrobe consist of only dresses, I don't want to aggravate my incision by having something rubbing against it all day. So for the next couple of weeks it will be dresses and elastic waistband pants. I can't wait to put on some jeans:)

Back to work

Day 17 Post Op (I think) first day back to work, I still feel stiff but not too sore. I am wearing a jumper and I look good in it! I have always wanted to buy one but in the past when I tried one on my belly looked super pronounced in it. I used to have people ask me when I was due, that's how big and round my belly looked in some clothing. So far I am really excited about my results, I am still swollen around the incision area but my PS assured me that this is normal and will go down eventually. Even with the swelling I am happy cause the big hanging flap is gone. I can actually look down and see my woman parts lol (TMI). Hopefully I'll get through this first day back and not be too swollen by the end of the day. TTYS....
