Amazing. Age 42 Mother of Three - Stony Brook, NY

I am 42 and a mother of three girls (10, 8, and almost 5). Ever since my first child I always said I wanted to get my breast done. I wanted to wait until I was done having kids, well I’m done and it took me almost 5 years to actually go through with it. I am a total chicken when it comes to any kind of medical procedure, I spent the last five years researching breast augmentation and surgeons although I only went to one consult, and that was with Dr. Mark Epstein. I found Dr. Epstein searching the net and saw the 24 hour recovery. My search started all over again trying to found out everything I could about the 24 hour recovery and Dr. Epstein. I found nothing but positive stories and reviews on Dr. Epstein, I couldn’t believe that the recovery would be so easy. So I made three appointments with three different surgeons, Dr. Epstein was the first and only appointment I went to. The doctor and his staff was wonderful, he took his time to answer all mine and my husbands questions, even the day of surgery. He made me feel at ease about the whole procedure. After the consult I went home and canceled the other appointments. I still couldn’t believe the 24 hour recovery was possible, with three kids and a husband that travels three out of five days with work, it was important for me to be able to get up and go if I needed to. I made my surgery date for Aug. 1st. I was so nervous the day of surgery, so many things to think about, taking care of kids and the dog, getting ready for vacation 10 days after surgery and just being able to move. My husband only took the surgery day off so I was worrying about the day after. Dr. Epstein’s surgical staff is unbelievable, they set my nerves at ease once they saw how nervous I was just walking into the OR. They wouldn’t let me look over to anything that might scare me, talking to me about my kids, and their kids going to the same dance studio. I think I went out in mid sentence. When I woke up the nurse was right there taking care of me. I have to say the only thing I remember feeling was the incision on my right side. The nurse gave me something to eat and drink, and than my ibuprofen. She asked me if I could raise my arms above my head and I looked at her like she was crazy. She said just try it and to my surprise I was able to and it didn’t hurt. I was stiff but not in pain. Which I couldn’t believe, my husband was well taking care of also, they fed him lunch. I went home and took a three hour nap, when I got up I took a shower and went to my in-laws to see my kids. I followed the recipe of recovery the next day, I got up, took my meds, took a shower, did my exercises and I was fine. The kids had a sleep over at my in-laws and I went shopping by myself. I was very stiff for the first two days but not in any pain that the ibuprofen couldn’t take care of. I normally go to the gym at lease five days a week, I went back after two weeks only walking but still back. Now I’m running, still not lifting more then twenty five pounds. I feel and look great, had I known how easy it would be I would have gone to see Dr. Epstein four years ago. I am almost eight weeks post-op and my results are amazing and totally feel and look natural thanks to Dr. Epstein. I highly recommend him and his staff.
