Hello my name is Henry and I come from Sweden.

I went through an operation in April last year but unfortunately it was not as it should and I got scar tissue on one side of the nose. We waited until October 23rd to make a new surgery and now it has been more than 2 months and it is still very swollen and uneven. This has led me to become very depressed. I know it takes time for the nose to heal but it is a difficult process.

Not happy with the results at all, I have big problems with living with what i did too my nose. I wish i never had the surgery.

My question is how long I should wait until I contact another doctor to examine your nose? And so I am considering saving up money to operate on me in the U.S. instead, since you seem to have more experienced plastic surgeons for noses. And I wonder about what a nose job cost in the U.S.? My best regards Henrik

Dear Henndrik, I also live in Europe. I thought that going to the US was better but when I stepped into a plastic surgeon's office in California Beverly Hills my money was gone, together with parts the nose. Travelling to the US for a consulation and doing research on doctors in the US is a massive problem since travelling is against you. I simply watched 2 video clips of 2 girls which was sponsored by the surgeon and felt that I should trust him. Paid for operating room deposit in advance and whilst there he told me that he could nt do what I wanted and he said he wanted to do other things (which were against my wishes). I could nt even decide what to do as office was about to close and the patient coordinator told me that she had to go home because she had kids waiting for her and that signing papers are not much important so rush rush (in Europe we are not used to signing papers, etc....be aware). Surgery was scheduled following early morning and amounted 20,000 US Dollars. Will upload pics and story soon after 6 months...So be aware of US Surgeons. Before leaving my country my surgeon which cost 2,000 Euros told me that might find surgeons who will do a quick job and that is what I can see for 20,000K in Beverly Hills California...:( and surgeon from the US was not oriented to Mediterranean noses but for Ethnic noses..it is better to find a qualified surgeon in yr country as you will be safe that he knows what is most suitable for one s origin...gd luck

There are many excellent plastic surgeons in Sweden - I did extensive research before having a facelift in September 2009. I live in California but chose to have the surgery in Sweden because of the very reasonable prices. I think you should look for another surgeon in Sweden that can correct your problem. There is no reason to travel to the US for this, the quality of care is not better than what you can find in Sweden and the cost is very high. I recommend a consultation with several reputable surgeons - I had my facelift with Disa Lidman on Ă–land, but I can also recommend Victoriakliniken in Stockholm. Lycka till!
