I needed Invisalign because of slight over crowding on the bottom and I had to had a tooth removed on top because I had one stuck in my gum, so it will make a space for it to come. I am in high school and all of my friends are already getting their braces out and if I got braces I wouldn't get them off until after I graduate. Imagine that senior year with braces. Ew.
I am also getting this done now so I can stick my mom with the costs. I just got mine on yesterday. They put 11 "buttons" on. Five on top, 3 on one side of my 2 front teeth and 2 on the teeth that surround my gap. Six on bottom right below the ones on top. They are just throwing me right in there and skipping a "training tray". I'm not sure how long its going to take, they were saying very quickly by the end of summer, but then I also have to have my tooth pulled down into place.
So far I have no problem with them, I only find discomfort when I have them out. I am finding it very hard for me to eat. My lips are dry but that is it. They had problems with my mouth being too wet to attach the "buttons". I still have that problem. I am actually finding my mouth to be even more moist when I sleep, because it use to dry out, but now it doesn't. As for keeping my dental hygiene up its easy for me, since I have brushed and flossed after everything I ate anyways, even at school.

I am almost done with traditional braces and am VERY dissatisfied with the results! I am seeking Invisalign to correct what my Ortho screwed up and just cannot see where I am unhappy.
