3 months post op and in love!

So it's been 3 months since my surgery and I still absolutely love them! My left breast has always been more of a problem than my right, ever since removing the pain pump 3 days after surgery. I had my 2 month appt and brought up my concern that my left implant felt harder than my right. Of course I jumped to the conclusion of capsular contracture. Both Dr. Lund and his resident felt and they agreed they couldn't feel any difference which put my mind more at ease. The right breast is super soft and pliable, basically feels like a normal breast. The left is still kind of tight. When you press the implant up from the bottom you can see and feel the implant move upwards. Basically I can tell there is an implant there vs feeling like normal breast tissue.

I have gotten back to exercising more now which is great! I have been running, doing squats, light yoga, knee push-ups and some ab workouts. Still haven't gotten back to crossfit though.

It really has given me a huge boost in self confidence and I do not regret making the decision one bit. I still use the scar cream morning and night as well as take my vitamin E and massages every day.

3 weeks

So today marks exactly 3 weeks since my surgery. I have been terrible about updating on here. For a recap of the last 3 weeks...I had my surgery on a Thursday and I went back to work on Tuesday, my original plan was to go back Monday but I was in too much pain. I had an apt that Wednesday (which I had a driver for since I was still in pain meds). He said they looked good, swollen but good. I was able to switch out of my surgical bra into a zip up sports bra, which was nice. I had to start taking vitamin E and massages (doing little circles with my hands to move the implant in the pocket they created). I was cleared to start lower body exercises then too.

Showering slowly got easier. I was able to do every day activities more and more every day. Some things are still tough, like opening car doors or pulling open heavy doors at work.

I just had my 3 week apt yesterday where he told me I was able to wear normal bras and am cleared for all exercises.

Everything is going really well. I absolutely LOVE them. I wouldn't change a single thing about them. I can't wait until they are healed and feel like mine. They fit my body exactly the way I wanted them to. Dr Lund did a fantastic job and I would recommend him to anyone. I was very nervous at first but am throughly impressed.

New boobies!!

So I finally got to shower!! I have been doing my exercises per dr Lund and I am almost able to reach completely over my head. I needed assistance showering. After the shower they felt more swollen. I'm super happy with the results! There doesn't appear to be any "armpit boob" but definitely have torpedo boob going on. Feeling better today, less pain and more eating. Pulling the pain pump out was super painful. They were much longer than I expected and one was much harder to pull out. Almost felt like I was going to pass out. Needed to grab a chair to sit on. Overall I think the pain pump was helpful. Ice is definitely now my best friend.

Dr Lund was fantastic. When I first met him, he was a little blunt when answering my questions but I soon realized he was just being honest. He made me feel very comfortable with everything. I had a ton of questions at every appointment and he gladly took the time to throughly answer each and every one. I had a slight freak out over my pain pump leaking so I called the emergency line for the office since it was a Saturday, about 5 minutes later it was Dr. Lund calling to explain everything. The office is wonderful and all of the staff is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr Lund and the St. Louis cosmetic surgery office to anyone and everyone.
