52 Year Old Male with Severely Saggy, Baggy Eyes - Traveled for Procedure - Spokane, WA

Dr. Chesnut is a true leader in his field. He has a phenomenal reputation in Southern California, and he is one of the most cross-trained surgeons in the cosmetics field anywhere, so I knew when it was time to finally have my upper and lower eyelids addressed, I would have him do it. By the time I was ready, he had changed locations from UCLA to Washington state, so I made the trip up to have him do the procedure, and it was well worth it.

Spokane, Washington was gifted of the best cosmetic surgeons in the country - he is far better than even some of the traditional "best surgeons" that he trained with in Beverly Hills and LA - I had visited them all first, and I knew who I was most comfortable with and who the best option was going to be.

I had heavy, tired, old looking upper lids, and lower lids that seemed to be both baggy and empty at the same time - Dr. Chesnut gave me better results than I could have ever imagined. I look as young as I feel, my upper lids are natural yet youthful looking, and my lower lids are finally flat, smooth, and have a contour that I had not achieved with other things I'd tried - filler improved them and I was happy with those results, but they were nowhere near the results I have now.

One of the big benefits of Dr. Chesnut is his ability and willingness to do these sorts of procedures without general anesthesia. A lot of surgeons I visited wanted to put me under to do this, but I did not want that huge risk added on to an otherwise elective procedure, and from the research I did, I knew that you could do these sorts of eye and even facelifts with just local anesthesia and some relaxing medications, so I knew that I wanted to go that safer route. I found out that the general anesthesia is mostly just for your surgeon's comfort so that they can talk about and do what they want during the procedure with you out, but it is really of no benefit to you, and besides making it higher risk it also meant I had to stay overnight in the hospital, which is avoided the way Dr. Chesnut does it. It was easy, painless, I napped through most of the procedure, and best of all I was able to go home immediately after.

I am a working professional, and I am now much more comfortable at work amongst my peers. Recovery was relatively easy, swelling and some mild bruising, but I was able to fly home 5 days after, and within a week I was back at work and able to conceal what I'd had done to those who didn't know.

I am now 4 months out, and the results seem to get better and better - I get compliments about how good I look, people don't know why, they can't tell I had something done, but I do look noticeably better, just natural - those are compliments I never used to get before. I would do it again in a heartbeat, and I would fly anywhere to have Dr. Chesnut do it.
