3.5 Years Post-Op - NO REGRETS!

It's been too long! Just wanted to hop on and say how much I'm still enjoying my new "set". It's truly been LIFE-CHANGING. My chronic pain is still gone, I find exercise much easier, I have more energy, sleep more deeply and feel more confident. I do still have the scars (33" of incisions) but they are much better with time an some massage. My nerve damage is still a challenge as I only have feeling in my left nipple and in my cleavage area. It DID change/improve over the first year but haven't seen many if any changes since then. STILL worth it though! Happy to answer any questions. I was 32G/H (i/j in USA sizing) and now a 32DD or 34D. I had a wide breast root so the surgeon couldn't make me any smlaler without making them look quite misshapen. I STILL have no sag though breasts are more relaxed than they were even at 1 year post op.

You can see how much lighter and proportionate my body is in the 2nd picture in the attached collage.

Anyways - enough rambling! Best wishes on your journey!

Scarring and nerve damage

Hi all! So I'm 20 months Post-op.... closing in on TWO years. I've maintained the 32DD/34D size. I've been having more problems with my back again... but I really have to abuse myself to reach that point. I NEED to be doing my PT. I still have some scarring that is raised and a little red - I was hoping that would be gone by now. My biggest concern is the nerve damage. I'm not sure what happened during my surgery but I'm coming to the conclusion that a nerve was severed. I still have no feeling in my right nipple and get this... numbness down my right arm STILL. Is this normal for a surgery that is done gently with attention to detail? Could it have been severed during my side lipo? I don't like it at all... if feels weird. Having no sensation in the right nipple has proven to bother me more than I thought it would too. A little bit of a game changer in the bedroom :( I might be calling my surgeon to see if she has suggestions for nerve damage healing/repair.

7 months PO

So it turns out I had an internet stalker.. hence why I deleted all my pictures.

My scars are slowly healing and I'm definitely getting sensation back in my breasts - still nothing in the right nipple. I'm still a D/DD but happy with that. They are still very perky. I got to go back at 6 months to see my PS. She really did a great job. Feeling thankful.

My consult went great with Dr. Derby. She is very to-the-point and professional. She provided me with LOTS of information regarding surgery and recovery. She seems very confident in her ability to give me a younger, perkier looking set of girls. And then there were the befores and afters! I think she has a little of everything in there. I had difficulty finding anyone of my body type/build to compare to but did see several outcomes that looked like something to shoot for. That sounds bad... I guess I was kind of stressed out seeing all the results that were NOT what I want to look like and then realized that their befores weren't anything like I look like either - phew! It's hard to put your trust in someone you don't even know with something you will have (and share with your spouse) for the rest of your life. I'm currently feeling quite confident - we shall see how I feel as the surgery approaches and after pre-op! ;-) Oh! Let me not forget her staff!!! They have always been very helpful over the phone since December (when I first called trying to make a consult). They have a person dedicated to handling claims and insurance. My consult was on a Friday and Dr. Derby had her paperwork ready to send on Monday along with my records. The person who handles claims called my insurance to let them know the papers were on the way. I don't know WHAT she said to them but long story short they allowed her to submit all the info over the phone and issued an auth #! I'm SUPER impressed by the office staff's dedication to take care of me. Oh and Dr. Derby said that her partner Dr. Buchanan would be assisting with my surgery. I have not met him but she says she DARES me to try to spot which breast was stitched up by who. Well, this review is a rambling mess. I'll be sure to update as things progress. Editing to add: I'm 7 months Post-op now and overall a very good experience. Dr. Derby is positive and upbeat. I didn't have any follow-up appointments between 5 days and 6 months but IF i needed to come it I could have. They were available by phone to answer questions and such. I tried not to take the repeated hints that I should get a tummy tuck to heart - LOL. I'm happy with my size and shape and thankful that I got so lucky my first try. Thanks, Dr. Derby!
