I have always been flat chested, so at 52 years old I decided that I wanted to invest in myself and my outlook. My fiance and I interviewed 3 different surgeons and there was no doubt in our minds Dr. Emily Williams was the one we wanted. From the time we first walked in her office and met her staff we were impressed! The staff is very professional and required to look very classy, which impressed upon us that they take great pride in their business. Then, after meeting Dr. Williams and having some very candid and open discussion, I decided on silicone Naturelle implants. The size was another thing though, as I wasn't comfortable not being able to visually see how I would look with a certain size and having the doctor select the size that was best for my build without flowing out to the sides etc. The doctor and I had many discussions about this. Looking at hundreds of others' implant results just didn't work for me because I am very visual oriented and wanted to see ME.

Then, my surgery was postponed 2 times for other health reasons and the staff and Dr. Williams were very understanding and accommodating. The wait turned out to be the silver lining I was looking for! The office has added a Vectra machine, which takes images and molds a computerized image of you. The doctor is then able to visually show you how certain types and sizes of implants look on YOU from all angles. This virtual tool was what was broke all my fear and made me very excited to have my surgery! I had no questions or qualms left after that visit! The staff always answered all my questions and was very thorough in corresponding throughout the 8 months until I finally had my surgery. The surgery center is impeccable and staff is super friendly and accommodating too.

After my surgery, I had some issues with constipation and tingling sensations but the office had already given me prescriptions for nausea, constipation, and pain. I called and talked to the office and they assured me these things were all normal. I only took pain medication for 2 days but probably should have taken it a few more days. But my constipation was severe, so I chose to stop them. The tingling I had was just nerve ends healing and that has dissipated. My nipples were SO sensitive (a 12) after the surgery I couldn't even touch them and having the bandage across them was hard, but I endured and now after 1 month the sensitivity is at a 2 or 3. My arm movement is very good and the bruising I got has all but disappeared. My scars under my breast are still bumpy and numb, but I have been assured that will dissipate but may take a year.

I had my 1 month follow up visit and stayed dressed so Dr. Williams could see a patient in street clothes instead of a gown or naked. She was very impressed with how well I looked and how well I am healing!

So, now for the best part! I CANNOT tell you how wonderful this decision has changed my life!! I am a fairly confident, extrovert personality but was always very self conscious of my breasts. I am thin with nice curves and I always get compliments on my butt. The small breasts just still held me back because I wasn't proportionate to my waist and hips. This is the first time in my life that I LOVE wearing tight or very loose and low cut tops and dresses! And have I been given a whole new level of confidence by people's response, including many women. And, it isn't because they could tell I had breast implants, they just appreciate the whole package now! Some say they don't know what's different but see and feel something different about me. Now, I always wore a padded bra but my breasts are definitely much larger. Some people just don't look that closely or are timid about admitting they did, so reactions will vary from sideways glances to outright bold comments.

I am feeling so beautiful and my fiance is ecstatic with what it has done for our sex life! I never imagined how much of an effect that would have in that department! And, it's not just the larger breasts, it is my aura about how I feel about me and my body now that brings the sexual side out in me. I even spent $500 on new makeup to go with my new persona! And, here's how I paid for that. All my tops and dresses that looked good with my flat chest fit even better than they ever did!!! I didn't have to go buy a whole new wardrobe!!! The few clothes I did buy larger in anticipation of my new figure had to be returned. That was a huge savings! But on the same token, it is making clothes shopping a lot more fun for the things I would have never worn before my surgery!
