I started my journey a year prior to my surgery. I considered many surgeons referred to me and interviewed 4 local surgeons. I really wanted to feel confident, comfortable and a connection with my Doctor. I can't explain how important this became as I experienced some hurdles after surgery. Dr. Emily Williams was a true blessing and I could not imagine any other surgeons by my side.
The first day I met Emily she was extremely professional, approachable, knowledgeable, soft spirited, confident and straight forward with truthful answers. She spent hours answering all of my questions including my silly girl questions! I also loved that she did not pressure me whatsoever and I truly felt like it was my call! Aside her great bedside manner, her technology is state of the art! Many surgeons had old school ways of finding your size. Dr. Williams has the photo sizer (not sure exact name) where they take photos of you before and project the after results on a big screen TV! No more ridiculous rice bags! I am a very visual person but as many of you know picking your size and shape is the hardest part of breast implants! This 3D machine was the icing on the cake! Not to mention her staff and nurses are fabulous!
Surgery went extremely well, my results were satisfied and I literally had no pain. I did opt to go over the muscle a few days prior to surgery which may have played a big part. I personally felt this was a good decision since I had a hard time grasping the muscle cutting involved in the under muscle procedure. However I will admit even though they look great I can see "slight" rippling on the inside portion of my cleavage if I am not wearing any support. This would be my only negative review.... However I still wouldn't change it at this point. I also experienced severe panic attacks 3 days after surgery. I have never in my life experienced a panic attack. It was horrible to say the least! Dr. Williams was by my side and I truly felt she had my best of interests. She gave me access to reach her outside of business hours for my "unusual" side effects. This went so far for me and helped me through this extremely difficult hurdle! Just knowing she was in it for the long haul with me! After the panic attack got under control with help of Ativan I had a systemic drug reaction and was borderline hospitalized. I am still searching for the answers to my reaction. I have offered DR. Williams my support to any future patients that experience the rare side effects of anxiety/panic attacks and systemic drug reactions.
I would highly recommend Dr. Emily Williams to anyone looking for cosmetic surgery! Interviewing several surgeons before making your decision is my biggest advice. I couldn't imagine having a doctor with poor bedside manner or a lack of passion for any post surgery issues. I truly believe I had the best support from start to finish! Follow your heart and listen to your gut!
