I went on Accutane in Feb. 2011. I saw results in the first month. My skin was clear after the third month. By the end of my 5 month treatmeat, my skin was clear and beautiful, just like we all have dreamed of!! It was soo good that I barely had to wear make up! However, I did experience dry lips and face. I was scared of all the side effects but luckily nothing severe happened to me. My cholesterol did go up pretty high during the last two months. I think that all of the side effects outweigh the results. However.... I started college in the fall and my acne came back. Not as bad as I had it but pretty darn close. I'm an athlete and workout and sweat all the time and I always felt self concious about my face. So now it has been a year since I have been off accutane and I'm starting a second cycle of it tomorrow.... My skin stayed clear for quite a while but I'm hoping that a second treatment will erase my acne FOREVER! I'm pretty sure I have tried every antibiotic and cream and nothing worked like accutane. I was very satisfied with my results the first time but unfortunately my acne came back. It was totally worth it and that is why I am going on it again.

Great review?

It seems lots of people need a second cycle of it to really get lasting results. I'm glad its an option for you. I know what a pain it is to deal with acne, so hopefully this will clear things up for you! :) Looking forward to hearing how things are going through your treatment!!
