5 weeks Post Op.. Still a work in progress..Lol.. Again, this has definitely been an interesting journey. I am truly thankful that I haven't had any complications though! I am not 100% yet, but it continues to get better everyday. I still have some swelling, but it is getting better. I am back in my pre-op clothes and I am loving the room in the waist and the bagginess. Not buying any new clothes until I am closer to the end of this journey though. My only complaints right now would be the swelling and the fact that I sometimes feel that my stomach muscles have curled up into this big ball of knots which is very uncomfortable! I have another follow up appt with my PS on Monday, so I will be sure to ask about these things then. Nonetheless, I am loving the new tummy!

Happy Healing!!

Gotta love granny panties!!! HAHA! Your list looks like everything I sent my family out for for days afterwards!!! I see you have mederma on there..my surgeon said it works no better than petroleum jelly..he even gave me some literature about studies and recommeded Scar Away strips to minimize my scar. They were a godsend for my scar and especially for protecting the scar from my "granny panties" and clothes. 1 day at a time ladies!
I am still sporting my granny panties!! Lol.. I slap my cremes/ointments on and throw on the granny panties!!

I actually haven't even tried the mederma yet. My doctor prescribed me an ointment called triamcinolone acetonide cream that he says works better than merderma in his opinion. I have been researching some other scar treatment options and I did read about Scar Away. I have been considering trying that or Dr Blaine's scar care. You'll have to let me know how the Scar Away works for you though.

6 days post-op... This has definitely been an interesting journey. The last 2 days have been the best days since having my surgery. I was never in much pain but because I feared the pain, I took the prescribed pain meds which made me feel "awful"!! Before yesterday a lot of my time was spent asking myself what the hell I had done to myself!! Thankfully though, that is changing & I am feeling better as each day passes. I haven't taken any pain meds since Monday, day 3. Had my first post-op appt on Monday as well. All went & looked well. Had my 2nd post-op appt today. My doc removed one of my drains and encouraged me to work on standing up even straighter. He also advised me that I had been wearing my binder too tightly. Still have some brusing & soreness in my lipo'd areas but it isn't bad. All in all, it's all coming together & I am pleased. The first few days were just hard. My belly is looking good & I am happy with my results. My doc said that it will only get better from here. So, I'm excited about seeing what else is to come. My doc gave me a new binder that is a lot more comfortable & softer. Also prescribed another antibiotic, a muscle relaxer & some creme to help with the healing of my incision. Also has me spraying my incision with a mixture of peroxide & water after every shower. I have to let it air dry before I bind back up.

Needless to say, this will be the last cosmetic/elective surgery for me!! Lol.. They rest of it will get worked on the old fashion way! Nonetheless, I am pleased & glad that I did it.

Hi Hun! I am feeling so much better these days! Yesterday & today have been my best days. I spent the other days asking myself what the hell I had done to myself! Lol.. I was soooo miserable. Didn't think that I would go through the depression stage but I did. Ugh!

So, my surgery was yesterday! All went well, Thank God! I gave birth to a 7lb ball of fat! Yaayy! I am so thrilled by that!

So, I got to my doctors office a lil before 9am & they were ready for me. I went straight back, got changed, spoke with the doctors & nurses while my IV was started & that's all that I remember before hearing the doctor calling my name & telling me that I was done. I was in & out yesterday so the day was a bit of a blur. Then later that night, the nurses got me up to dangle my legs over the bed. A few hours after that, they removed my catheter & moved me from the bed to a recliner. Wasn't too bad. I stayed in the recliner until it was time for me to leave. I did pee twice before I left without a problem.

So, now I am home on my recliner. Not too much pain at all just sore. My stomach muscles are no joke. I can feel soreness from my lipo areas as well but it's not bad at all. I've been having to cough & that is no joke! Throat was hurting a lot from the tube but is getting better. I have been peeing like crazy. The worst part of that is that my back kills me on my way back from the bathroom. I did have a bowel movement today as well.

Well, I'm getting sleepy so I am signing off! Good Luck & happy healing!!

I saw it briefly when my doctor was changing my dressings this morning before I came home. From what I can see it looks good. My apron is definitely gone & that makes it all worth it on its own! Looks like he got most of my stretch marks too. Yay! He took 7lbs! I am thrilled about that!! I go back to my doctor on Monday to have my pain pump removed so I'm hoping that I will get a better look at things then.
I am so happy for you. I cant wait to see pics. I cant wait to upload mine too lol. My ab uscles are sore too. I had to pee like every 10 mins at first. I am able to stand straight and the doc said it would be ok to stand straight. I didnt get a pump but the vicodin is helping. Seems like today (day 3) my abs are a little less sore. I get this weird tingling though... and itchy ugh! I know it hurts to cough. I hope you arent coughing anymore i did too yesterday it was terrible. I cheated and peaked in my binder.
