Sorry I Did It! - Akron

Not worth it at all. I researched diligently for a qualified surgeon and thought I had one of the best. I wanted a straight nose, no tipping up and get rid of the hump. I now have a ski jump nose with pushed up nostrils.

We did photo imaging but apparantly he forgot to look before he did surgery. I have not been out socially since I had it done. He also messed up something in my lip somehow and destroyed my smile. I would take my old nose back in a heart beat.

I have been to other doctors but he has so overresected my nose, most say it is too difficult to fix or they want so much money to try, it's beyond my means.

Great review?

He made changes that he wanted to do rather than what I asked him to do. He has apologized but that does not help.

How many nose jobs did he do before doing your nose? How many before and after pictures did you see before hand? I'm so sorry for what you have faced. Doctors like him shoud be put out of business! You shoud make a website about what happened to you, so that others will be warned.

I had a nose job years ago which turned out okay but I injured it in an accident this summer. I did a lot of research and found a surgeon who agree to everything pre-surgery. Post surgery, I cannot breathe through the left side of my nose, and my nose is now very long, wide and unattractive. How can we, as patients, protect ourselves from surgeons who do not respect the values and requests, and medical needs of their patients.

May I ask who your surgeon was? I think it is important for you to tell people who it is if he did a terrible job. I am so sorry you are unhappy with it. I think it is criminal that he made a ski jump when you specifically asked him not to. c

I am so sorry you had such a bad experience! If you haven't tried this yet, you could return to your original doctor, tell him how unsatisfied you are, and demand he give you a second rhinoplasty at a much lower price. It is completely unacceptable for him to not follow the guidelines the two of you agreed on. I really, really hope it gets better for you! Anne

Hi: When was your surgery? I know the hardest thing to do is give your surgery time, your nose should take a different shape over time. I am 5 weeks post op and have had similiar issues as yours. I know only time will make my nose look better. Have you really been to other surgeons for their advice? Just know that there are people out there that care! Sincerelyl, Donna
