Laser Peels.....Get All the Facts First and Good Post Peel Care Instructions..... My Wedding Was Destroyed! - Somerset, KY

I wanted to look amazing at my wedding for my new to be husband. Couple weeks ago a nurse friend of mine done a laser peel out of the Dr. office which she worked. She used the Venus Laser 2940. My goal was to lessen fine lines, improve pores, decrease redness across my cheeks and nose, and improve skin tone. She treated the veins across my cheeks and nose and used the laser on my face and neck. She sent me home with post peel instructions. I followed the instructions to the letter in fear my messing up my face. The next day my face was extremely red and had sever swelling. This lasted for 3 more days. On day four the instructions said to exfoliate and I did. OMG not the thing to do!!! My face swelled more, was more red and burned. I called the nurse and sent her picture of my face. I told her I followed post instructions and exfoliated and used the creams as prescribed. She replied, "NO,NO,NO!!!" No exfoliating. Needless to say, I was frantic that I had scarred my face. She said casually that the post peel instructions needed to be changed. Now she tells me after it's to late. Wedding day arrived, my face is still swelled, red, hyperpigmentation and my pores looked like large ice pick marks. For me, the day was a disaster! Today, I have a scar on the right side of my nose at the corner of my eye where a hole formed. I have several deep marks that look like old acne scars and red patches scattered on my face. My pores are huge, my skin feels like rough sand paper and looks like it to. I can see no improvement with the fine lines. The only change I see is that my skin if firmer, a new indention shows up and my skin needs excessive moisture. I called to discus the skin issues with the nurse, she just told me to "baby that skin" and any scarring she would fix for free. Like I would turn her loose on my face again!!! Everyday I look at my face, I pray that most of the imperfections heel and get deeper depressed. I don't know if the exfoliation caused the problems or if it was the laser. So please, please if your considering any type of peel, get all the facts about the peel, make your exceptions and goals clear, get very clear post peel instructions and chose your professional wisely.
